If people understood just how dangerous the Welsh Rabbit is, they would understand the need for this slug. Many knights have fallen to this savage beast, and they're usually hunted by elite forces using very specialised hand grenades from Antioch. These have been in short supply due to global supply challenges, so it's good that there's now something completely different. Especially as the Welsh Rabbit is delicious on toast.

First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then, lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

Looking at the warped sabots I wondered if it has anything to do with the strength and durability of the sabots. If so…maybe stronger (but not harder than the barrel) sabots could work? @@eclipsegst9419 a 5th layer of lead. Not 100% but it could be awesome! 1. It’s soft and grips on. 2. Rotational energy is retained mainly on the outside edge of rotation (like a flywheel). Thanks Jeff ,Thanks OG and Thanks to the Bright Spark who created them . Those first four shots were certainly pretty wayward , but Jeff's swift analysis and cunning use of logic & judgment to lighten the load certainly tamed the last of those slugs , of course they were not at all tame, and really proved rather effective , and down right impressive in the lead plate . If the donor of the slugs were to make another batch I'd suggest machining the bronze pusher plate thinner and using a hardened steel pusher plate wider than the hardened steel penetrator in the hope that the penetrator isn't pushed back through the base . Having now presumably having been able to watch this video I would assume he's probably having similar thoughts . The standard proceedure over here when we hear phrases like "Welsh Penetrator" is to contact the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). Sheep Lives Matter.

Holy sh-t. That slug is amazing. It actually worked flawlessly once the load was right.

IT'S similar to a servo round, the center of that particular slug penetrating further into the target.

Amazing video! I enjoyed the Death Core chugs, 16:47, in the background while the watermelon was exploding. Great touch.

This has been one of the most interesting videos on YT today and some round, once the powder level was corrected. Amazing response of the slugs with that power difference. Nice one. Cheers!

When you are experimenting, a failure is a learning point. It lets you learn so is a benefit. You did ok because you learned.

That gel block expansion and fragmentation was scary cool. Devastating damage with lots of mass to tear a soft target apart. Great field expedient surgery to correct your mistake; I love this channel! Thanks guys!

Jeff and OG - Knew you would get that slug working..!! Possibilities there, but slug is too expensive for most of our uses. The hydromelon..!! Good work, Steve

Thanks Steve! I don't remember having issues with the FS12 but at 12:45 you can see the damage to the lip seal. Might have to see how adding an x12x under the FS12 will work.

Good to see y'all out there shooting. I know it was frustrating. There're days, and there're days.

I have a strange idea but it might help you with misses and recovery of fragmentation. A large kevlar curtain draped loosely over a rope that is suspended across two poles, you'll want as much width and height behind the target that you can get, and the thickest kevlar you can get ahold of. This will help deflect the rounds into the ground, and reduce their impact energy by a lot, increasing chances of recovering intact projectiles.

You can see the steel core in the slow mo. Back left. I rewinded it and looked. Super cool
