anti-wheelie and rear wheel lift are basic inclusions of ABS and Traction control, TVS just listed them as separate features. Any two-wheeler with front ABS would never let the back wheel lift off, thats the whole point.

Correct!
@kunal_meenaa4 ай бұрын
They just listed applications of the same feature as multiple features. 1. Cruise Control on hill and down hill is not a feature, basically cruise control maintains the speed, so if the speed drops it increases the revs and if the speed increases it drops the revs, ain't really a feature just the cruise control working. ( -2 features ) 2. If the ABS is working the rear won't lift anyway. ( -1 feature ) But still the bike is fully loaded with features at the price point which i appreciate as i ride a first generation FZ and GT650. would love to have lil features like these.

The new apache RTR 310 is a fantastic looking bike. It looks very sharp,stylish and modern.Comes with great features. It's the most technologically advanced bike that I have ever in this 300 to 400 cc segment. The engine performance numbers are also decent too . If there is one feature that I am interested to test then that would be the heated and cooled seats,it's an interesting feature to brag 😂😂😂. I really want to buy this bike, but the issue is that the platform itself was late by 2 years originally, i.e when the duke had a monopoly over this category. And while its power deficit itself makes it a downgrade for a large chunk of serious motorcyclists, it is the fact that that power deficit doesn’t translate into anything this one does better that makes it a hard buy. Had it been smoother, easier to live with etc, it would have found some 390 buyers move to this one. As it stands, the 390 ticks more boxes and doesn’t have too many flaws. Basically that 2 year head start the 390 platform got is just playing out. Though I’d recommend this to a Duke 250 type buyer.

It's always the bad riders who talk about the "raw ridiing feel". All the MotoGP guys like their bikes decked out. So do the Dakar guys. I think it's because the average guy has no idea of their riding capability, so they think they're invincible. The best know that a bad day and situation can happen to anyone, and it's on that day that you need the safety net. People also don't realise that the RTR 310 currently has more features than bikes that cost 3-5 times as much. Also, anyone who has done a long ride knows how the return back to home is really not as fun. You need cruise control for that time. Hell, it really increases fuel efficiency. I got the manual cruise control from Pro Spec, but I wish I had the electronic one. I will not talk about the adjustable suspension, because only an idiot would need to know why that's amazing. TVS's bane currently is the service. I think it's high time they got premium showrooms, because the ordinary showrooms and service centres suck.

but one point to note is that the company backing is superb. My experience with the service centre wasnt the best, but from a single email to TVS Motors, their Territory manager reached out and made sure everything was good. Same experiences made me go ahead and get a pre-owned Apache for another purpose later. So yeah if people got more such experiences about the company's backing, then that would take away a few worries about buying their products which are otherwise superbly engineered.

@@powerdriftofficial I don't know what this phenomenon is called, but in my head, I often end up defending Bajaj and KTM bikes because they have very clear shortcomings and a one track mind for performance. TVS bikes on the other hand do everything reasonably well while pushing the envelope on features, which is a broad category of things and it never feels like it's targeting any particular type of buyer except for "techie". It just feels like it was made to please every single person, which is completely fine, but in my case robs it of having personality. If KTM is Picasso's weird self portrait, TVS is a 3D holographic recreation of his face. Both impressive in their own right, but one has more emotional depth than the other.

@@powerdriftofficial 1. The looks (way overdone, TVS is the Hyundai of bikes, their designs don't age well, except Apache 180) 2. The 310 engine isn't refined enough. 3. The instrument pod seems like taken from an e rickshaw 4. Too much emphasis on features than nailing the basics. 5. No emotional connect whatsoever, Where is the TVS adv? Woh lao na yar. 6. Branding issue: TVS as a brand is yet to push out touring focussed bikes, look at Ronin, ew.

It would be better if it’s 2 cylinder engine rather than single cylinder. Rest all features in place . But bmw 310 cc engine is not that great . Also rattles a lot in high rpms and feels so strained

Would people trust an Indian 2 wheeler sporty twin cylinder that is not an RE? I mean, the list of complaining and comparing (mostly useless) would be unending

Bhp figures to begin with.. test ride them both back to back, the bikes will do the talking. Plus with all of the bto options and all opted for, the term vfm goes out of the window for tvs.

My only question is why do the motorbikes launched in India have such ugly-looking exhausts or silencers? It's really off-putting and ruins the overall appearance. Quite dissatisfied with this.

Norms!
@vikramwadhwani61745 ай бұрын
Manufacturers can stick to the norms with proper underslung exhausts. And if they think it's not possible, they just need to look at the KTMs and Pulsars (N). It's possible.

I mean look at their rtr 200. Amazing exhausts. But the High spec bikes don't get them? How? Even their 125 cc Ntorq exhaust is extremely well designed and aggressive looking
@eswarasrinivaslanka29 күн бұрын
Exactly, the exhausts of both rtr 310 and rr 310 are worst.

@@powerdriftofficial I can give you lots of examples of accidents with top-notch bikes like the BMW GSR1250 and Harley-Davidson 1200, despite their advanced safety features. But when you're going fast, anything can happen, and safety features might not always help. With that said, my previous comment is all about riding experience, not about safety features. I'm not against safety measures at all.
