Hey Westen, I did this same swap about a year ago. Love it, i'm sure you will too! Currently running a BorgWarner S364/68/.9 charger, and with proper trans tuning and usable lockup, its a good size charger for street and towing. Im around 500-550hp with FASS and normal mild 12V upgrades.

If they removed the cab and left the bolts loose be sure and check the steering shaft bolts don’t want the steering to fail at 70

For sure a compound variable G turbo setup to keep that whistle singing, and then a nice 4 trumpet train horn for when someone makes it stop unexpectedly. I have one in my rig, with a little toggle switch to go between, "move please" to "GTFO THE WAY" real quick. Happy birthday Westen! May your new steed serve you well.

Something I started doing for filming. If I'm going to mostly be working on the front of whatever it is, if I can, I back it into the shop. Then the light is shining on it instead of overexposing the camera. Great video as always! Stocked to see this thing running. To have that knowledge at that age is impressive. You should build a steel frame in the shop with a section going outside to mount a hoist on and you could move engines and a thing around without struggling.

My 1981 still used Type F. Poured half a can of water in it oops open can under the slider. It was in there 3 weeks (4,000 miles) before I could flush it. No damage always worked great.

I had the same problem when I put a Cummins in busted 08 F350 CCLB. The cab wasnt bolted down and missing some bolts and it made for a scary first ride.

I like it dude! I have an 02 2500 Dodge w/Cummins, I bought new. I still drive her every day, and I seriously would take off for the west coast in it as soon as I changed the filters and fluids. But what you have right there.... Yeah, that's what every diesel pickup truck driver wants. A newer Ferd chassis and body with a first or second generation Cummins. Dream truck.

When I worked at Cummins for ten years back in the 1980s I repowered several 12 vave Cummins in Dodges, Chevy, Ford 1 tons and a lot of Deck cranes for Belger Cartage.

One turbo , and did the loose cab have any bearing on the little bit of death wobble . I had a AMC Eagle wagon once that had the death wobble , first time I ever encountered it , but cured it with a new HD steering dampener ( shock ) & it drove like a champ. Big D.
