In regards to the gun stuff, as someone from Canada, I can relate. When you live somewhere that basically nobody owns a firearm, you don't really feel the need to own one unless you are really into it recreationally. When you live somewhere that literally 100 million+ other people own a firearm and are carrying it around, you may feel like you also need to carry one around to protect yourself, and then it snowballs and you get 'murica and their love of firearms. You need one to protect yourself because everyone else needs one to protect themselves, so effectively everybody has one.
@PKWeaver74Ай бұрын
What could possibly go wrong?
@fadetounforgivenАй бұрын
I see you but I don't think that would happen to me. There are so many risks associated with carrying a gun that, even though "everybody else" is carrying one, I don't think I would. I'm Spanish and the only kind of arms people are allowed to have are those related to hunting or whatever they allow at shooting ranges (which there are, but very few, often called Olympic Shooting Clubs). Back in the day, a relative of mine who actually used to go hunting was retiring from it and wanted to give me his shotgun as a gift. After knowing all the associated costs (both in money and time, but mostly the money) and realising I didn't feel the need to wake up at 5 a.m. on a Winter Sunday morning (hunting days in Spain, at least back them, were mostly Sundays from October to January) trying to hunt something that I would certainly not eat (I eat meat, I'm not a vegetarian, it's just that I don't like the meat from wild animals, it's a matter of taste, not beliefs) well, I never got the shotgun.
@taj1994Ай бұрын
Just a note as a fellow Canadian - While I personally don't see the point in having a gun if you're not a hunter, Canada is pretty high on the list of guns per capita Unsurprisingly, the US is #1 by almost double the next most, then it's the Falkland Islands, Yemen, New Caledonia, Serbia, Montenegro, then finally Canada at #7
@owensnicholasАй бұрын
That is a very reasonable conclusion. 'Oh, everybody else has one so I need one.' But, even living in this country and being fortunate to experience much of it, I have genuinely never felt like I needed a gun to protect myself. At no point have I ever thought, 'yes, that would make this situation better.'
@mktrollop1093Ай бұрын
The gun thing is weird, I think America is far too free with them, but in the other hand I grew up in rural Ireland, there was always a shotgun in the house, and I have one now in my own house, you're not allowed have them for protection, but you are allowed use them if you're being attacked in your home. I wouldn't be without one. The police are at least an hour away, if they're even available.. We have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the world, but if you want one you can still get one.

There was also one in Pomeroy, Ohio that had a map on it. That was as far as I knew the last McDonald’s serving pizzaand they quit serving it. I think in 2018 so to see this McDonald’s in Orlando, continuing to serve pizza makes me wonder if it’s official McDonald’s pizza or some other subsidiary.
