So just wanted to give a more unbiased perspective on Kaguya Sama before diving in. Season 1 is definitely simply a 7-8/10 romance anime with a funny and different setup. After season 1 is where more actual character stuff is presented between the jokes and such. Even the deeper layers of the characters don’t really become apparent until multiple viewings of the show/manga. Just wanted to throw this out there since “FMAB dethroning romance anime” isn’t the best expectation to have immediately lol Love you guys

Actually the reason they count find Kyoshi (spoilers) is that she was part air bender and the earth bender method was reliant that no one in the earth kingdom moves around a whole lot while Kyoshi was always on a flying bison in early childhood. The reason they got it wrong is they had to rely on less conventional methods which involves finding someone with a similar personality.

I caught up with the manga and love the anime too. One of my favs . What’s one of your fav characters? I LOVE Power, Denji, Aki, Makima , Kobeni , even though ppl shit on her and make fun of her. I think she’s funny and also a badass. I mean, did you see her ( spoiler) Remember when she fought the chick with the snake ?! She had that gun and knife , if I remember, and was fuckin goin ham on them!!

I'll admit she was frustrating at first, but I think that intentional by the author and later she really got to shine. I haven't read the manga but I'm excited to see more of her growth. Also the old guy who trains them seems pretty cool, I wonder what his backstory is. Ofc Pochita is also in my top 10, what a precious cutie 🥺

When it comes to the Pein fight you can say it looks bad, but the animation is actually fantastic. The only thing that people often judge animation on is the art style without even knowing the basic principles of animation. For a Naruto example of the weirdness that can happen if you pause check out Sasuke vs Orochimaru in the forest of Death. At one point Sasuke's head is literally upside down. That's why we have the saying "never pause Naruto"

Plain and simple a high schooler is on brink of child and adult. Meaning they are immature with more maturity than a child but also still have the growing potential that you see less of in Adults. Being 14-18 gives you the most room to change and develop which is what most stories are is the journey of the mc and being able to adapt and change helps with the story but also being mature enough to be taken serious and put in serious situations is necessary and better for story.
