I love that you keep the videos coming! Those bats were cool. Not sure what the Stuart tree was all about. Curious. Stay safe. Have fun. Can't wait to see you next adventure.

Thank you Jill! The Stuart tree was a marker made by one of the first groups who traveled from Adelaide to Darwin! So it’s a famous “half way point” of it could be called that haha

You've done it again! Great vid peeps. The outback and outback towns don't get enough love. You could spend another month covering outback NSW/Vic towns. They are all unique. Hope you are both doing well and keeping cool (in the 40's here this week). Can't wait for the next one.

Yeah we are sure you could do a whole other loop and go to completely different places. Small towns would get more love the second time around

Stayed at Daly Waters a couple of times it can get really busy there we had to stay in the overflow part last time that pub can get a bit rowdy at night. I hope you stayed for the beef and Barra.
@RhysandMissy7 күн бұрын
We did not stay :/ we hard car troubles that kinda stunted our time to get down to Alice Springs. I could imagine is gets pretty rowdy, nothing to do but drink on there!

@@RhysandMissy Daly Waters is a popular one night stop over for people travelling on the Stuart Highway the main camping area is usually full if you leave it too late in the afternoon to get there. There is an overflow just down the road and the sound of the entertainment still carries because its so quiet out there. . Famous for its "Beef and Barra" (Steak and Barramundi) done on the grill with self serve side salads and entertainment each night outside in the beer garden - you have to book a time because everyone in town shows up. Enjoy your trip I hope you are get a chance to get up to the Gulf country in Queensland we tend not to travel in central Australia at this time of year its a bit hot and way too many flies for us.

Frickin Larrimah! I spent two weeks out at Gorrie Airfield, just outside of Larrimah, when I was in the Army. That town truly was the twilight zone. I wasn't surprised when I heard about the murder that occurred there. You should have spent the night there and watched the Netfix story on the murder. Thanks for the memories

I'm not sure if I 'love' you guys yet...But I love how Missy always has a great smile ready for you Rhys when you look at her. I apologise that the 'Outback' has been a little boring and under-represented by us Aussies. At least you know you in the outback when there is no one around. It could be worse I guess, you might be stuck out on some highway broken down and with no one around at all. At least you're both safe, well and entertained by us locals...and the kangaroos, bats, Galahs, etc. I loved the blue tongue on the table. Someone's pet, or just looking for a cheap meal? Offer them lettuce and see what they will do next time. where are you off to next, Darwin? Stay safe.

She does have a smile that’s easy to come by 🥰. We are very thankful for the outback peoples, as we broke down and needed there help once for sure!! Well we love you!!!

Street numbers in Australia start usually with 1 at the beginning of the road so pretty much all streets have 1,2,3 etc unless there’s some reason to skip those numbers. Unlike the USA where street numbers are based on a distance from a central point in the town/city so very few streets have a 1 or 2 and many street number are 3 or more digits…
