I've experienced the full meal and can confirm it is filling. There are 3-4 larger courses (depending on how you look at each) and even the smaller ones are heavy on proteins and fats. The total was pretty stuffing even over 2 1/2 hours.

You see people, these kinds of food arent the one that makes you full, rich people eat it for the quality and the taste. They are made to perfection. The experience and exclusivity. Kinda tired of people who are complaining of small portions with expensive price in expensive restaurants. -.-

Also, these dishes are actually made with a lot of effort. Example: Aged meat. One simple mistake in making one of them, then its discarded.

Honestly, I have had high end food like that. And yes it is art and beauty is a big factor, but after a meal like this you leave the restaurant full.
@JustYourAverageGirl2002
@JustYourAverageGirl2002 6 жыл бұрын
I've been to restaurants like these and I HATE them. I get it, it's an artform. But at the end of the day that's all it is. You're paying for an art piece, not to be satisfied. I want to be satisfied and the stomach will never know or understand ugly as long as the food doesn't poison you. Why would I pay for something so wasteful? People have opinions and the right to complain. It's okay to think that this kind of thing isn't worth the money. There is plenty of quality, high end, food out there that is actually worth your money and will leave you full. I think it sickens me just a bit to see places like this. Like people you can afford to pay out the wazoo for two bites of food? Why not pay less money, get good quality food that will fill you, and then donate the rest of that money to people who don't even have food.

@Existantia
@Existantia 6 жыл бұрын
its not at all insane. It's a Michelin Star experience. Maybe one that is above the palate of a commoner? Consider the price of all the ingredients they are purchasing to make this, plus the work put into everything. If you want basic food at your price point, I'm sure you can find a McDonald's.
@anonymoushy7815
@anonymoushy7815 6 жыл бұрын
damn, that's surprisingly cheap lol, I've always thought that Michelin Stared Restaurants costs $500+ per person per meal, now it seems like it really have to do with how many stars the restaurants was rated? Like this one I don't think was 3 stars, might've been lower considering that fact that I've seen better dishes than this one, or it might just be the tasting course was less expensive
@anonymoushy7815
@anonymoushy7815 6 жыл бұрын
+Existantia They probably don't have crazy good ingredients, I think it's more about the environment, their reputation, and how they made the food that makes it pricy.

Ashley Moon With what they're being served its honestly quite filling and that's also why it's served in small quantities. I do believe that too much of some of these sea foods can make you physically sick. So that's probably the other reason why they don't have big dish fulls.

The portions are small because they're often very rich, and because there are more than five dishes that are included. It's going to fill you up, especially with the wine and other beverages being served in between. It's kind of like when you're cooking at home and you continuously taste your food. By the time you're done cooking, you won't be as hungry.
