Grandmaster of demonic cultivation actually only has the bl as a subplot.... like third or forth tier of the plot. Main plot is a carefree 16 year old boy (Wei WuXian/Weiying) witnessing his families slaughter and going on missing after he left to get revenge. Everyone thought he was ded until he returns several months later. But he comes back a very different person and after getting revenge he becomes such a monster when he is 19 he has to be killed before he kills everyone. When a curse bring him back to life 16 years later he sets out to find his family (his still living sibling, his lover/bestfriend [Lan WanJi/Lan Zhan], his nephew, and his adopted son) and in hopes that he can get their help to keep him in hiding while he rights all the wrongs he'd done in his first life.
