I really liked that, for some reason I feel pressured for not wearing tampons. But I don’t have so much flow and its hurt to have even the smallest tampon, so pantyliners and pads are a must go for me.

I feel like these could be great for like the very last day of your period when you just have a little bit of spotting or as a second line of defense in addition to a tampon, but it wouldn’t be a good idea to fully handle your period.

True. It would be great though like Lindsay said if they would actually create period panties/swimwear, whatever that could handle every type of period out there with absolutely no leakage. I’ve tried period panties but it does no good on my heaviest day. I still leak. Isn’t that the whole point of period panties where you don’t need to rely on wearing a damn pad or tampon and can use rely on the panty only to catch the blood with no transfer or leakage? I want a 100% leak proof panty/swimwear for the heaviest days where we don’t need to wear a pad or tampon. I want to wear period panties and that’s it and know that I have nothing to worry about. That would be great for us ladies. I hate wearing pads. It feels like a damn diaper. I hate wearing tampons as well because they just never feel comfortable using them for me at least. Just give me the panty to handle my period would be great.

@@sarahprince2412 the point isn't to just wear period panties. If that works for you cuz your flow is lighter then, great. Most women can't wear them that way. My friends use them with tampons and I use mine with a cup on my heavy days. I have saved so much by not needing to buy tampons, pads or liners.

From what I’ve read the outside material is hydrophobic, while the inside fabric is not. Therefore when you wash it the inside actually gets washed out.

The period blood won’t flow out when you’re in the water due to the water pressure. But I guess the idea is to prevent the blood from dripping down when you get OUT of the pool to get changed. So I don’t think you’re supposed to stay out of the water for hours in it. Also, I’m not sure if it’s meant to be a substitute to pads or tampons entirely.

@@Thebratzbaby because water pressure increases with the depth of water. I believe the water in the bathtub isn’t deep enough to create enough pressure that’s why there was leakage. That’s just my way of making sense. I could be wrong though.

For anyone that would ever wanna try one I definitely recommend ruby love. They come in a bunch of different colors, patterns, and styles. Also they are super comfortable and I have never leaked ever. Also if you do swim as a sport they also have one piece racing swimwear. They are very durable. They can be a little expensive but definitely worth it

Yes!!!!!! I was looking for this comment. I use the insert pads as well for heavy days and there’s only been one day(one of my heaviest days) after being at the beach for over 6 hours was there only a drop of blood on my towel, AFTER THE FACT. RUby love works. I’ve gotten my period every year at camp and have gone to the beach with it, wearing thag and only that, zero leaks. It’s literally magic

But can they truly handle the heaviest flow day because that is where the issue really is. Not the last day of the period where it’s pretty much just spotting at that point. The issue is that period panties/swimwear can’t handle the heaviest days hence why all the leaking and transfer. I want to be able to just wear the panties/swimwear without wearing a pad or tampon period(excuse the pun) throughout the entire period timeframe and have it handle everything without having it leak period.

@@tcoker0416 oh my gosh no worries! I LOVE the one I’m using from Fun Factory. It’s so comfortable that I don’t even remember it’s there. I use size A and that’s perfect for me! People who have given birth or have a longer canal usually like size B. I love that I can wear it overnight or for around 10 hours without even thinking about it. It never really gets “full” so to speak, so I’ve never had any leakage! In terms of putting it in, I found that the c-shape method was really helpful, and with this particular cup, it’s most comfortable if you twist the tip towards your butt. Putting it in takes a little bit of fiddling the first time you use it for your period since every vagina is different. Just like a tampon, when it’s in correctly for you, you won’t feel anything…and when it’s slightly twisted or in at the wrong angle, you’ll know. Then you can just grab the little grippy dots at the end of the tip and kind of adjust it until it locks into the right place.

This entire review is what I've been wanting! I've watched 2 other videos reviewing reusable pads and panties and it just upsets me how disgusted women feel about their own bodies. I loved this video. I love their confidence! I've been using reusable pads for almost 2 yrs and Thinx for a few months now and I can honestly say I've never felt more comfortable or secure while on my period.

I'm on my period and I just went swimming with my boyfriend. I tried using a menstrual cup, then my poor boyfriend just said "umm... Babe, why is the water red?" Then slowly backed away. My period is WAY too heavy for a menstrual cup, so it's probably too heavy for a period swimsuit. I always leak 30 minutes after I put the cup in and I always checked to see if it was sealed correctly. I'm going to a water park with my mom tomorrow.

My favorite is modibodi I use it all the time and never had any issues. What I like is that it tells you which is best for you for different types of flow. Some swimsuits you can wear when your heavy and then some when your light. My favorite is the 12 hr ones since I’m heavy…never went back to pads….I’m in my 40s…..always make sure to read instructions.

I’m strictly a pad user as well. I just wear an old pair of black underwear under my bathing suit when I go swimming on my period (depending if I feel well enough to do so) and I don’t get any leaks. I don’t bleed much when I’m in the water strangely.

I have been wearing tampons since my first period because I wanted to swim. I've leaked pretty much every period I used them (I switch between pads and tampons). I've seen videos online about menstrual cups and gave it a try. And let me tell you THEY ARE AMAZING!!! the first few times putting them in and taking them out was kind of frustrating, but after the 2nd day, it was great I didn't leak AT ALL. they also have them in different colors and shapes so everyone can use them. plus they are also better for the planet but if you are going to use them make sure to do your research and make sure that the cup that you buy is safe. I've heard pretty bad things about people not cleaning them well.

I swear by the modibodi period swimwear. I do surf competitions so I can’t really get out of swimming and I do have a heavy flow, so wearing this on the first few days it’a great for double layering with a tampon/diva cup and the last few days it’s great just but itself. I think it’s great but it doesn’t work for everyone.

@@summershuman2021 Water pressure can stop your flow temporarily while you swim, but if you laugh, cough, sneeze or move around, the pressure can change and a small amount of blood might come out. The good news is it probably won't be visible. This might be different during a very heavy flow though.

For those who didn't know: your period flow stops/lightens when in water! Whats why your bath water isn't red! Mine stops completely 😌👌 And if i remember right Its also good to take baths when on periods
