Rules:
1. If a Pokemon Faints, it's considered dead!
2. Both players are ONLY allowed 1 Pokemon to catch per 10 floors, then those 2 pokemon are linked forever! If one Pokemon dies, the other goes down with it!
2. You CAN'T have 2 Pokemon with the same primary typing on your own team! (Example: I can't have 2 fire types, but I can have 1 and Shady have 1)
3. If either player white outs, it's GAME OVER!

This is probably the best version of a nuzlocke to watch. The pace of pokerogue is flawless, that is why I think it does so well on youtube. I watched the entire first video and this one as well because they don't feel like an hour, it feels like a 20 min video and that is what I love about it. I hope this series keeps going bc it is so good!

Couple of suggestions for logistics of pairs: 1.) Write down the pairs on sticky notes next to you 2.) Release dead mons and pokemon that don't get paired

So this might sound outlandish, but gumshoos is disgusting He gets candy really fast so you can unlock his passive quite quickly which is huge power by the way If you hatch one with its hidden ability, adaptability and the egg move extremespeed All you ever need to worry about it Leppa berries and ethers It is, And I say this with my chest Dummy braxton broken

someones going to have to tell you this.. nearly every pokemon is built to be this level of “broken” in this game. it adds to the roguelite fantasy. needing to hit the pure rng/grind of 1.candies 2.hidden ability AND 3. a specific egg move out of a pool of 4 i believe while never guaranteeing u get one at all even if u hatch 40… all that for essentially 200 base power +4 priority normal move is just nowhere remotely close to the level of “broken” u can get other mons in this game w the same investment

You can release Pokémon when one of you loses the pair. You go to the Pokémon menu and instead of switching it has the option to release. Edit: And they figured it out

Yeah, the Soul-Link element of this isn't doing it for me. I just don't enjoy watching y'all bang your head against a wall. If y'all don't want to jump back to fusions or Rad Red yet, why don't you two RACE in a Nuzlocke of PokeRogue? With types dupes, forcing to remember what you have with the other member, how imposssible and likely it is to lose a Mon in Rogue, i just think this will be multiple episodes of this.

I feel like every ten waves when the reset happens all Pokémon revive,makes it easier to remember as well . Also if you get another Pokémon of the same type you ahould probably release the first pair . Much love ❤️

I love Pokerogue and watching this series, but I agree that doing this as a soul-link is making it kind of awkward. The floor/wave system just doesn't work well with soul-link mechanics. It's too fast paced to have you both progress simultaneously, but it can also be weird for someone to be 5+ floors ahead, or even in the next set of 10. And getting pairs is a big halt in the flow, because the first person basically has to wait until the second finds something they want or gets through the set of 10 without getting anything (especially once you have teams of 6, you can't preemptively replace a pokemon before confirming a pair).

I think rather than limiting to one catch every 10 levels, they shouldn't be limited since they can't use revives anyway -which are a huge part of Pokerogue.

Catching new mons is often a trade-off anyways because they don't have ideal moves and may be under leveled. Maybe just make it so if one Dad catches a mon the other has to catch the next valid mon before the route change. If there isn't one, then you release. Makes catching new mons to replace team-members risky at higher floors because you may will have to release a mon to have a chance to catch a new one.

I think the point is to make it harder and to simulate the levels being “routes” which pokemon games typically have around 40ish so if they wanted around that many “encounters” then they could do 1 every 5 levels but to just say catch pokemon whenever you want kinda defeats the purpose of being selective

But the game is different enough from a mainline game that it may require special consideration on how to do a Soul-link of it. Unlike a main game in which you can go to a Pokemon center and prep for a battle pokerogue is really about managing your resources (money and exp) in a way that no other pokemon game really is

Given the difficulty of this type of run I think it’d be ok to give each Pokémon a set of lives, probably 3, to give them more of a chance to progress. Or another idea would giving them the ability to restart the floor by refreshing the page of the battle goes poorly. This would also essentially give their Pokémon “more lives”. Don’t know how they would gain these resets but I think it’s worth considering. Not saying they can’t do it with traditional nuzlocke rules but wanted to throw these out there.

Pikachu/raichu sweeps up to at least floor 50 it can start with nasty plot and thunder shock then gets electro ball early which kills everything after one nasty plot pair with a fighting type and the early game is cake

I think they should do a cage lock however you can only have the first 4 moves the pokemon has, maybe randomise the moves so they don't just have level up moves, 1 perk could be replace the 4 moves but has to be used there so rerandomise the moveset of that pokemon, trade pokemon, so you pick 1 of you oponents pokemon to take and ability change, change the ability and nature of the pokemon, the last perk if you have all 3 is the reencounter dice, catch a different pokemon from the route that pokemon was on and keep both
