We visited Brașov and Sibiu to sample traditional Romanian food dishes! Overall, this was an excellent country for food, and even more than that we just had a blast making this video. At this point, trying different foods is certainly locked in as one of top 3 favorite things to do while traveling. In this case, it was our way of stepping into traditional Transylvania times! The food did not disappoint (except for the few that did)!
In the end Cascaval pane (Transylvanian Fried Cheese) was the only food in this video that gained our official stamp of approval! This doesn't mean there wasn't other enjoyable parts of this food tour, but we try to reserve this stamp for our shared, absolute favorites.
Our last video ( • SIBIU IS THE HIDDEN GE... ) featured a meal that also gained the stamp.

Sibiu, Romania was named as a top city to experience Transylvanian cuisine in every single online blog we looked to. So during our month long stay in this amazing town, we tried dozens of different restaurants/vendors. I'm sure we have made this clear within the last few videos, but again, Sibiu truly is special. We recommend anyone visiting other (larger, more popular) Romanian cities to take a detour and include Sibiu on the itinerary.
Regarding the Mici, we actually think our pronunciation is way off, so excuse us there... but we really just picked the wrong spot. Good thing is, we fell in love with Romania and see ourselves potentially going back within the next few years! We will revisit lots of these foods and try many more. If you have ideas for other Romanian dishes feel free to comment them down below!
