Kartulisalat is one of the most popular dishes in Estonia and we now know why!
The traditional recipe may not be vegan, but have no fear! We were able to track down a completely vegan version at Ristikheina Kohvik, a small cafe chain in the capital city of Tallinn. Follow us as we walk thorugh the idyllic fairytale land that is Tallinn's UNESCO awarded old town before arriving at our destination and sinking our forks into some incredible potato salad! @@aroundtheworldinveganeats Thank you. My potato salad does look similar to kartulisalat. But sometimes I like to add tuna flakes together with boiled eggs to my potato salad. 😄

I love that in Estonian which was for a long period had a German speaking aristocracy so their work for potato is similar to German Kartul close to Kartoffel and salat is similar to Salat in German So kartulisalat - the only truly Estonian bit is the genitive i in the middle of the word LOL
