I would give a suggestion to balance a bit the "land" aspect: Instead of getting 3 lands for free each turn, you should make so you can decide to either draw 1 card for your normal draw or add 3 multi-colored lands to your hand each turn. And, regardless of your choise, you get up to 3 land-drops each turn instead of 1. This way, you get the same number of lands you are getting now, but it feels less "free"
@CardmarketMagic4 ай бұрын

Just like the first video of this kind, the difference was not the spells but the broken lands rule. You could run the same game with just normal cards and likely still come out on top. To make it fair(er), let him drop three lands a turn, but he has to draw them. Because as written, he is getting draw four (the spell draw plus three free lands) and three land drops a turn.
@eausterberry4 ай бұрын
Not only that, the fact that they're archenemy lands specifically is what powered the whole engine. The dragon was actually a fairly interesting and possibly balanced mechanic in any situation where you dont get 3 "any color" lands every turn.
@tciddados4 ай бұрын
Honestly, I kinda want to see what would happen in a 1v1 of random custom cards vs a prebuilt high-level deck. They can still include archenemy lands if they want (just 1 per turn), but without the massive ramp they get in this format I feel like even broken stuff like the Lotus (which was half the damage successfully done to Carl) wouldn't be that broken because there's no synergy in the deck like you'd see in a typical tournament-level deck.

Another option would be to change the Prismatic land with some sort of Draw back. Enter the Battlefield tapped unless you pay 2 life. Prismatic land has all land types. (For card that care about land type, or more Loci) Or (T): add {C} to your pool. (T): add one mana to your mana pool. Prismatic land, deal 1 damage to you. Prismatic land has all land types. (For card that care about land type, or more Loci) It would be cool to see the 4 player build commander deck with that pile. You just have to use real lands and the commander has to be a fan submitted Legendary creature and 40 to 50 fan cards.

There is no land aspect that needs balancing 😅 if you watched either video, the custom deck almost lost each time. Blizzard soultwister is cool, it needs a dash for the ward cost and it needs to be phrased so it isnt 'you can't ever attack' in a 1v1 format.
