How could anyone not like Michelle's laugh? It is so genuine and infectious. When the Cox and the Wetzel families were hiking in the canyons, Michelle got the giggles so bad when she slipped. I myself laughed out loud. We all need more Michelles' in our lives. Having one in the garage is a bonus. Love the channel guys. Love the mix of family, fabrication, fixin', and fun. I dont know what engine you've rebuilt, but my guess is it's a 426 wedge. Seeing just the front fender back to the passenger door reminds me of my '65 Dodge Coronet. I found it on a dealer lot when I got home from Vietnam and got stationed in Ft Rucker, Alabama. I traded my '60 Chevy Impala, and $400.oo for The 65 Coronet ex- Florida State H.P. 426 w/ Torqueflite. You know I had a ball in my sleeper. Nothing on the streets could touch it. Could catch anything in a heartbeat and not even flinch. Easy and precise machine. One of my best all time favorites. I'm anxious to find out more about your Coronet. Mine was the 4 door Cop Rod. The worse thing that happened to me in the car was; On a really cold Freezing Alabama morning . I had worked the night shift an was headed off post for home. As I left the gate, I punched it and at the same time the heater core burst. Instant fogging of the glass . I quickly rolled my window down, threw my head out the window an managed to find a driveway. You guys are great. I love watching your videos, and it's great to see the family working together. Don't let jealous couch potatoes spoil your day with their expertise backseat driving.🎲👍🇺🇸

My dad and I did a basement renovation when I was a teen. He had asked me to rewire the switch for the furnace. I asked if the power was turned off, and he said yes. The screw driver slipped while I was wiring it back up and got a 220v shock. My dad, as soon as it happened, yelled, "Next time, don't trust anyone, not even your dad. Always check for yourself. " It might have been the best advice he ever gave me. I'm not sure he had to electrocute me for me to get it.

Paul, I am 63, watching you do this 440 brought back memories from 50 years go helping my dad when he was building his 383's and 440's for his assorted Mopars. The lifters in the can was my initial job, other than the teardown part and sorting out parts and bolts so they didn't "get lost". He had a 1/2" thick piece of glass that was 18" x 18" that I rolled the pushrods over to check their trueness. Then I was to use a pushrod to pump up the lifters in the can of oil. He built some strong engines back then. Thanks for what you do to educate in an entertaining way to those that may have not had the opportunity to learn and appreciate the mechanical workings of the automotive world.

@@queefersutherland8495 He was a hardass and had a tough sense of humor. He taught me very little about life in general, but he did show me around the mechanical world of cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles as well as small engines. There is so much I have forgotten over the years that watching this channel in particular brings back the lessons. My dad and I had only about a tenth of the relationship that Paul and his kids have. He did however teach me not to take any BS from anyone, to pay attention to the details and to be proficient in the use of firearms. Funny as it is, I did not turn into my father. I am quite a bit more laid back, yet still maintain a somewhat skewed dark sense of humor that was acquired in the garage, developed over time in the Army and polished to a radiant sheen in law enforcement.

@@charlescorbin5564 My dad had a 64' Dodge 880 Custom 4dr hardtop. It was a Golden Anniversary Edition. It was black with a goldish interior. He had put buckets in from a New Yorker that were the same color. It was a 727 with the the push buttons on the dash with the sliding parking brake lever. A 69' 440 from a R/T Charger out of a junkyard. The car had 3.55's 8 3/4 with a Suregrip rearend. He had GR70-15 Michelin radials with the skinny white stripe mounted on 15x7 black steel rims with chrome baby moon hubcaps. The car was known in the Tri-County area as "that Black Dodge". It surprised a lot of people. I used to keep it Classic Car Wax waxed. I was hoping to buy it from him one day but he wrecked the right front into a stone wall one evening in 84' while I was in the Army in Georgia. I was raised in North Jersey. I call NC home now since 89'.

I'm almost 70 and I remember when my dad bought one new. It had a 273 which looks identical to the 318. He gave it to my oldest brother who lived in Louisiana at the time. My parents went to visit and my dad almost had a heart attack. My brother took his little car and turned it into a full blown drag car with a roll cage and fiberglass front end. It had a 440 with a tunnel ram intake with 2 Holley four barrels. He asked him why did you do that and my brother said once you give something away it's nobody's business what you do with it. I remember when they raced them in NHRA. Those were the pro stocks of their day. Don't let anyone's comments get under your skin. Don't stop making videos please. Thanks , Craig

Growing up the son of a mechanic and having worked with my dad during my youth in his shop provided me with an education that you just can’t get in school. Watching your videos and seeing how you build engines brings me back to my younger years. I learned a hell of a lot from my dad in the garage, and I benefit from the knowledge I gained from him every day. I really enjoy seeing the interaction you have with your kids, and can see how you inspire them to use their minds and build things.
