I dont know what engine you've rebuilt, but my guess is it's a 426 wedge. Seeing just the front fender back to the passenger door reminds me of my '65 Dodge Coronet. I found it on a dealer lot when I got home from Vietnam and got stationed in Ft Rucker, Alabama. I traded my '60 Chevy Impala, and $400.oo for The 65 Coronet ex- Florida State H.P. 426 w/ Torqueflite. You know I had a ball in my sleeper. Nothing on the streets could touch it. Could catch anything in a heartbeat and not even flinch. Easy and precise machine. One of my best all time favorites. I'm anxious to find out more about your Coronet. Mine was the 4 door Cop Rod. The worse thing that happened to me in the car was; On a really cold Freezing Alabama morning . I had worked the night shift an was headed off post for home. As I left the gate, I punched it and at the same time the heater core burst. Instant fogging of the glass . I quickly rolled my window down, threw my head out the window an managed to find a driveway. You guys are great. I love watching your videos, and it's great to see the family working together. Paul, I am 63, watching you do this 440 brought back memories from 50 years go helping my dad when he was building his 383's and 440's for his assorted Mopars. The lifters in the can was my initial job, other than the teardown part and sorting out parts and bolts so they didn't "get lost". He had a 1/2" thick piece of glass that was 18" x 18" that I rolled the pushrods over to check their trueness. Then I was to use a pushrod to pump up the lifters in the can of oil. He built some strong engines back then. Thanks for what you do to educate in an entertaining way to those that may have not had the opportunity to learn and appreciate the mechanical workings of the automotive world.

@@queefersutherland8495 He was a hardass and had a tough sense of humor. He taught me very little about life in general, but he did show me around the mechanical world of cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles as well as small engines. There is so much I have forgotten over the years that watching this channel in particular brings back the lessons. My dad and I had only about a tenth of the relationship that Paul and his kids have. He did however teach me not to take any BS from anyone, to pay attention to the details and to be proficient in the use of firearms. Funny as it is, I did not turn into my father. I am quite a bit more laid back, yet still maintain a somewhat skewed dark sense of humor that was acquired in the garage, developed over time in the Army and polished to a radiant sheen in law enforcement.

It had a 440 with a tunnel ram intake with 2 Holley four barrels. He asked him why did you do that and my brother said once you give something away it's nobody's business what you do with it. Paul - your a fantastic family man great mechanic and a great neighbor of your community. Michele - Don’t listen to the rude comments, I can’t believe the terrible things people write. I enjoy your presence in the videos! Especially “Name that part with Michele” your an attractive woman a great wife and a Godly mom! Randal - I think it’s great that you are slinging the camera for Paul, if you ever get tired of it, I plan on retirement in a couple years, I could fill in. Lando - I love your truck! Keep learning from your dad and enjoy being a kid! Don’t grow up to fast! FABRATS ROCKS!

Growing up the son of a mechanic and having worked with my dad during my youth in his shop provided me with an education that you just can’t get in school. Watching your videos and seeing how you build engines brings me back to my younger years. I learned a hell of a lot from my dad in the garage, and I benefit from the knowledge I gained from him every day. I really enjoy seeing the interaction you have with your kids, and can see how you inspire them to use their minds and build things. I just think it’s awesome, and that kind of stuff will benefit them for a lifetime. Keep up the great videos and continue turning basket cases into treasures.

This car has been on huge in history and and I've always loved what you do with vehicles. I felt like I've learned a lot from you more than I would learn on my own, and I'm always filled with joy and smiling seeing what you've accomplished. It reminds me of my dad and I and our jeep projects. Do what you do best Paul. Even I have adopted the saying 'we do it right, because we do it twice'. I have a feeling you already know exactly what you wanna do with the car and I'm one of the people who's just happy to see what you create and learn along the way.

Guys, your channel is not for everyone. But, I find it super fun, entertaining, uplifting cause you care about your family and something else other than yourself. The language is not vulgar. I don't have to watch it, looking over my shoulder to see if my grand kids are going to hear something that is plain Unnecessary to life. I loved the flashlite comment! Holding the flashlite is one of the hardest jobs in the world...lol. Keep-em coming. Get the kids involved more. Give them a small segment. You guys are great!

“ if you think you can hurt my feelings, I held the flashlight for my dad” had me in tears! My wife, who enjoys watching Fab Rats with me, said "I don't get it" so I had some fun explaining how it was holding a flashlight for the old man! First time one of my boys did that to me I started laughing and wished my dad were there to see that!
