Hey y'all,
In this video, we discuss something we've been meaning to do since LAST YEAR. It's bad. But we're finally tackling it and it feels so so so good to have it over and done with.
We're also making some major progress on the cottage! Hint: it has to do with the kitchen :) and we take you along while making some design choices. Which one will we go with? Which one is your favorite?

I love dogs too, but it's funny how dogs have become so domesticated in North America that someone actually has to explain to people why their dogs aren't kept inside the house. In many parts of the world still, dogs stay and live in the yard -- admittedly a lot of these places / countries may not have winter.

It depends on the breed. We have a Vizsla that could never be outside as she has no undercoat, but our terriers love to be outside as much as possible as thay are so thick and wooly in winter.

Kids communication are different in a way they are more intelligible to families than strangers. By 2 years (I guess her age) strangers will understand like 50% of kids language while families will do more. Kids should reach fully comprehensible language by age 4. But I do agree looks fascinating lol

I'm infinitely grateful you talked about the big dogs, thank you, as a dogperson and owner of multiple schäfers and grand danois -now they all are gone- I was wondering a long time. Dogs do love the outdoors, german shepherds need human interaction and physical activity, so the land with the kids sounds really good way to get them to know each other. When I operated my own business, April 15th was just the deadline to file for my extension. My intention was always to get them done by July, in practice I ran around like a crazy man to meet the October deadline. I feel your pain!

Thomas DO NOT cut your hair! Just a little longer and it'll look so good pushed back. I was growing mine for about 8 months but cut it because of the summer and completely regret it, and now I'm wishing I had let it grow because we're going into cold season and it would have been down to my neck. *sigh*

I'm so jealous of y'all's kitchen! Ours is so teeny and it feels like there's never enough space for things. And I can relate to the junk pile and putting things off 😅I'm getting my MSN right now but once my semester ends in November I'm spending my free time FINALLY setting up our guest/spare room that has become essentially the "room of requirement" in our house. Just a catchall for anything that doesn't have a designated home lol.

Totally agree with PJ, the black walls with red carpet would look perfect. Just maybe add in a couple of English ivy plants to soften it up, or a propagation area (small plants growing in little vials of water) and it'll bring in the home-y-ness. Sincerely, a student studying design at Parsons

Hi guys...really enjoyed. Just one thing.....Our home was broken into by someone we discovered we knew.....and it occurred because they knew where are dogs where kept which allowed them free movement around our home....now I never share that information with anyone....as you can appreciate. Also, sorry this makes two things.....lol lol lol.....a black kitchen would look fabulous....you have so much light from the kitchen windows and adjoining room....go for it, it’s only paint. How well is the house being remodeled Pk, the cabin to which they plan to move looks so cozy, I like the color of the kitchen shelves, they have a good style to choose boys. My theater event that kept me from being here for the preview ended up being a bust because nobody came! Then I didn’t want to come in the middle of the premiere, so I had to wait till now. And it was definitely worth waiting for! Things are really shaping up in the cottage, and it’s looking really good. I’m thinking your house is sort of like the set of “Designing Women,” which had an ever changing set of furnishings, as though they kept pieces in their office that would then later go into homes they were designing, just like you have pieces of furniture in your house that will eventually go into other houses. Maybe I shouldn’t say this, but PJ in the jeans with a big belt, cowboy hat, and the bolo tie, but bare-chested, was looking dangerously like a character from a 1970s gay porn film. Sorry, but it’s true! 🤣

LOL I was definitely saying what Thomas was saying about the all black kitchen BEETLEJUICE! It's too dark roomy. I like where PJ's head is, but i don't think it will have the effect he thinks it will especially for it being the kitchen. Also not feeling the rug in the Kitchen under the island. Maybe a small mat, but that rug is too big for a kitchen, also it's really red. Great video, I love these long vlogs that cover everything.

The cabinet in the bathroom feels too massive and wide. However, I could see a narrower chest of (tall) drawers about sink height, with a hutch above it. Perhaps a stack of hutch feet (allowing for use of chest surface), supporting a cabinet with side-by side doors (a hidden "medicine cabinet"), and then two or three 8" shelves above for green plants, small candles or tea lights, and a couple of personal photos in chrome frames? Shelves would be supported from the back, perhaps by "L" brackets mounted on 1x6s on either side, appearing to be tied into the cabinet hutch below them?

What a great way for me to watch your video, during my lunch on a Tuesday. I Love the black back splash with the Chalkboard Paint.. I'm trying to get my sister to use Chalkboard Paint on her Kitchen doors, but she's being stubborn about it.. The Cottage looks so amazing. Love the Navy Cabinets. PJ looks good in the Cowboy/Western outfit. What is it about men in Cowboy Hats???!!!! So,... You sad you need someone to clean your house...
