There’s an uncomfortable conversation. “Hey, the alien invasion we’ve spent the last 40 years secretly preparing for on our equally secret moon base filled with super amazing people came five years earlier than we expected. Well, you know how it is when party guests arrive earlier than anticipated, so you can understand how they wiped us out in less than half a day. They’re maybe like an hour, hour and a half tops, behind us. But we thought we’d let you know now instead of 40 years ago, that they’re on their way. ...Why are you pointing those guns at us?”

Love the final message the story gives! It doesn’t say exactly what she was using to write on the little whiteboard. But a dry erase marker(or anything using liquid) wouldn’t work in a vacuum, would it? Same as other liquids in the story, the dry erase ink would boil/evaporate almost instantly.
@richardsaxon17954 жыл бұрын
Dang, I can't believe I didn't think of that. The ink would just be sucked out into the vacuum. Let's pretend they used some non-liquid based medium to draw, hehe. Thanks for pointing that out though :)
@were2baby1344 жыл бұрын
At room temperature, such as that found on the ISS, a marker will work fine due to the capillary action of the marker sponge drawing ink from within the body of the pen. In the vacuum of space it would instantly freeze solid and only scratch anything you're trying to write on
