I don't see how any honest person could see that thumbnail (acres upon acres covered in solar panels) and think to themselves 'this is great for the environment!'... It's awful. That land has ceased to be farmland or wildlife and destroyed the biodiversity in the area. Not to mention messing with the weather due to the lack of natural tree/bush lines and messing with the water tables by not having a natural groundcover or mycelium network beneath the cover (which maintains moisture naturally and keeps topsoil protected and in place).

You don't need to locate solar farms on productive land - deserts, wastelands are where they should go. China puts up massive solar farms in deserts and then grow stuff in the shade underneath & graze sheep under them too. They also locate them over small rivers and canals where they help to cut down on evaporation. In about 20 countries huge solar farms float on the water in disused open cut mines.

Well we did just that in the desert in Kuwait, to generate electrical power and thermal power for a seawater desalination plant. During the day it was hot, so the photovoltaic cells lost efficiency. The thermal glass panels had the same surface but concentrating mirrors behind to produce the temperature needed to operate the multistage flash desalinator. At night the air temperature dropped past the dew point, and water mixed with fine sand condensed on all panel surfaces. Only with fresh water these deposits could be washed off, with the fresh water produced by desalination, every day, almost. The problem was there was less water remaining than promised . Increasing the water production with more panels, did not help. Scraping did, with a lot of hired help. In the end the invasion of the Iraki army put an end to it. But the fact remains, that high temperatures and the need to clean the solar panels cost too much to justify the reduced power generated. Especially the fine sand accumulation, past seals, affecting electrical junction boxes. all requiring high maintenance costs by workers losing motivation rather quickly.

It contains twenty-five pounds of lithium, sixty pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds of cobalt, 200 pounds of copper and 400 pounds of aluminum, steel and plastic. There are over 6,000 individual lithium-ion cells inside. To make each EV battery, you need to process 25,000 pounds of sole for lithium, 30,000 pounds of resin for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of resin for nickel and 25,000 pounds of copper for the copper. All in all you need to dig 500,000 pounds of the earth crust for a battery. The main problem with solar systems is the chemicals used to convert silicon into the silicon used for the panels. In order to produce sufficient pure silicon, it must be processed with salic acid, sulfur acid, salpetic acid, fluoride hydrogen, trichlorethane and acetone. It takes massive amounts of coal to produce solar panels. In addition, gallium, arsenide, copper indium gallium dieselenide and cadmium telluride are needed, which are also highly toxic. Silicone dust poses a threat to workers, and the plates cannot be recycled. Wind turbines are the nonplusultra in terms of costs and environmental destruction. Each windwheel weighs 1688 tons (which is equivalent to 23 houses) and contains 1300 tons of concrete, 295 tons of steel, 48 tons of iron, 24 tons of glass fiber, and the hard-to-earth rare earth neodym, praseodym and dysprosium. Each of the three blades weighs around 81,000 pounds and has a life span of 15 to 20 years, then they must be replaced. We can't recycle used rotor blades, they, along with used solar panels go into landfill. These technologies may have their place, but you have to look beyond the myth of emission freedom. “Going Green” may sound like a utopic ideal, but if you look at the hidden and inconsiderate costs realistic and unbiased, you’ll find that “Going green” is doing more harm to the Earth’s environment than it appears WHEN YOU LOOK THROUGH THE SMOKE & MIRRORS. I'm not against mining, electric vehicles, wind or solar energy. But I show the reality of the situation. And also. THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS IN THE FIRST PLACE, IT`S ALL A MASSIVE HOAX!

If you want a 2 Gigawatt coal power plant, that is what you get, and can expect that output reliably and on demand. For onshore wind if you want 2 gigawatts you need to build 6 gigawatts of capacity and nearer 10 gigawatts of solar for a sunny country like Australia. In the U.K its about 20 gigawatts. Governments and the media never mention this when they claim they are building x amount of generation from renewables

They just need start build hydrogen loophole, the best way is making hydrogen from sea water, i believe even current turbine electric generator with modification can run on hydrogen that by hydrogen steam or direct hydrogen turbine electric generator, they say that hard, imposible for delivery hydrogen, that is false, stupid statement, world need start build permanent electrolysis in refueling station, we just need managing method how to send sea water to refuel station, not finished product of hydrogen, but raw material (water) that send by pipe or delivery by truck, our problem is solve.
