Flagg is a better rebounder, postup player, and defender than LeBron. LeBron is a better ball handler and orchestrator of offense. LeBron actually travels everytime he dribbles, but you have to slow down tape to see it.

Do you know how many teams had 2 all-stars in the 2003-2007 seasons? Hardly any. He averaged 17/10 for 4 seasons during the slowest pace seasons in league history. His handle is a little loose, but as a Duke fan who has been paying attention to him for a long time, I’m so impressed with his intangibles, his will to compete, and his scoring is a lot better than I thought it would be. Still don’t really like him in heavy isolation but I really don’t like that kind offense in general

Mick, respectfully, as a Duke fan were rated number one defensively, and haven’t even scratched the surface offensively of what we can be with Flagg, Sion James, Foster and Maluach all being really good defenders. I think we have a pretty damn good chance of winning it all, but that’s OK. We’ll see how the season goes.

He is a better shot blocker than Bird was in college. About the same in assists, Not as good at rebounding, and not nearly as good at scoring. Clearly more athletic than Bird was but that is a very high standard. Statistically, a very good comp for college stats is Karl Malone as far as scoring and rebounding, but a better passer and shot blocker than Malone. Chet Holmgren matches in scoring and rebounding and blocks, but Flagg appears to be a better passer. Also Flagg is probably a one and done player, so another good comp there.
