I'm paok but we was great with Aris in the 80' s and 90' s and we wish to see something again in Thessaloniki but it's very difficult these years but basketball in Greece grow up in Thessaloniki with aris and paok with the special one Galis who was an opponent for me but what can you say about this guy! But i love more paok because of Bane Prelevits he was my Idol and this two teams had the Greeks loved the game of basketball, and the super year was 1987when we beat USSR with the last two free throws in the final in the stadium peace and friendship here in Athens Greece,it was shocking i was only 7 years old and some how i remember almost everything! Now for the Olympics i think we gonna fight with Spain i think only and Spain is our bad demon,they crush us for 20 years because they was a great team with the great players like gasol and not olnly but Spain is a mew team even so we i think gonna try to take the third place but you never know what gonna happen so let the Olympics begin guys! After group phase, they have a draw which leaves some randomness to the situation plus for die hooper fans we get to see two more games and format is clear . FIBA rules are not so differant to disrupt play, what is differant is court size, FIBA court is smaller and so all spacing patterns are diferant. But that is why Eurobasket is way moreentertaining to watch, becasue on smalelr court defense has its value, you don't look just shoot-offs...

And just 1 metre (half a metre on one side, and half on other, smaller court changes game just enough so you don't have enough space for one player to take a ball and just to run between two players, literary whole team have to help in attack to create a spece. But you don't watch FIBA games, don't you, so you don't have even idea how it looks like. Here, watch this Olympics, but whole games, not just highlights, you might understand the differance...

I disagree about france having a good roster, they don't have any kind of offense, guards are either not good enough or too old, victor gets pushed out to the three point line too much and when our best paint presence is lessort who's undersized, that's not great, gobert is not helping either. You would think however that defense would make up for it, with gobert and wemby it looks good on paper right? wrong, opponents are scoring in the paint way too easily. I'd be surprised if france makes it to the semis, they have by far the easiest pool but if they were in another one I would see them repeat what happened last year at the world cup and not even make it out of the group stage
