Super was a return to form with some new elements for new and lapsed players. Superstars was the love letter to fans that were around since the N64 days. Jamboree looks like the advancement of the series we all wanted Mario Party to be. The Switch trilogy is probably the best set of the series

I hope this game gets dlc, maybe a Mario pack and a bowser pack that adds characters from each of those respective squads, so maybe for Mario we get like diddy, toad colors, etc. and for bowser maybe blooper, dry bones, and hammer bro or something. Also maybe adding like two or three boards per pack, and they have one new one and one or two returning boards. Idk if we’ll ever get dlc, but this game looks amazing and I think it’s going to sell like crazy. Either way I’ll be happy as can be.

You need the joycon to play motion minigames. However, you can turn off the motion games, and they are automatically turned off online. In other words, there's no obligation to use joycons if you don't want to.

Super Mario Party the very first Switch Mario Party game they were 10. The economy in Super Mario Party was one of many shortcomings of that game which prevented it from being a great game. It’s still a fun game just too many shortcomings. Still better than the car Mario Party games though.

You only need the jpycons to play the motion based games, which can be turned off and are not available online. So yes, you can absolutely play with a Switch Pro controller.
