Awesome! & Congratulations! This is exciting to see & thanks for sharing. I love seeing all of the different designs & different greenhouse/high tunnel. Makes the wheels start turning in my head of ideas on how to design one when we hopefully build one in the future. If you don't mind sharing when you are done getting it put up, it would be interesting to know about how much a set up like it cost.

Wow, awesome Trav! Maybe consider using some plastic 55 gallon drums full of water with the donnage racks on top for shelves. The drums of water will absorb the heat of the day and release it at night, helping you maintain a warm temp over night in the winter. I feel pretty confident you can find some of those drums nearby you for a really reasonable price. Can't wait for the new fig factory!

Travis, a cheap Rainbird controller (as in lawn irrigation) will give you all the zones and functionality you need. Plan on using ine myself once I get my greenhouse built. Glad to see you went with Atlas. Thats who I plan to use.

I've bought 4 fig trees from you and they are all doing great here in south Alabama. I added 14 figs to my orchard this year and I'd say yours have gotten off to the best start so your doing it right. The imp Celeste and fast growing too.

Travis I worked at a place that had three large commercial greenhouses and I was always looking and asking questions on how they did stuff and on all cuttings they had these micro mist heads on a timer that came on every fifteen minutes for 30 seconds worked great, there’s you so good for thought

Maybe consider placing pickle barrels of water next to your plants for a thermal heater? Also some incandescent Christmas lights wrapped on the trees will give you some additional heat, and look nice, Imo.

Hey Travis, I am so happy for y'all that the fig tree project is going so well for you. I have had the opportunity to recommend y'all several times when folks in various groups and chats have asked about fig trees. I do not know if they ever called but I will steer folks your way whenever I am able. I love the new structure you are going with a really good option moderate cost and I believe it will serve you well. Here where I am someone would have to develop an eskimo variety if I ever wanted a fig tree. Look forward to the build as you go. God bless y'all take care, Steven

Congratz Travis!! awesome to see your progress !! i found a cool sprinkler system on amazon with a wifi water timer thats controlled by your phone app … anywho what is great about it is that each little sprinkler head can be adjusted for your needs … you can set schedules or do manual watering through the app and each setup is set in two zones … if this sounds interesting to you … comment and i will direct you to it … i absolutely love it

Well, glad you are making out like a bandit. My wife bought a brown turkey off of you ( which grow every where around here wild 🙄), and it arrived in good shape and is doing well 😂. That extra space will be a blessing one way or the other. I find with some dollar store oscillating fans and an exhaust fan, it’s enough cooling ( with roll up sides ) , but I did splurge for an Amazon mister system on a double AA battery timer. I live in Central Texas and it has been 100 + for days and everything is maintaining. I wanted to grow my tomatoes past my first frost, so I ended up buying a Mr. Heater 30,000 btu heater and a propane tank. I’m curious to see how it affects your electric bill. The propane was costly this last winter. Glad for you buddy

Nice! Congrats on the awesome expansion. How will that hold up in high winds, etc of a tropical storm. Looks very sturdy but after going thru a few here in FL that's formost on my mind. Not sure how much you get impacted where you're at. Again, congrats! I bet you'll love having the extra room to spread out.

Well that's pretty awesome! I'm happy for y'all. I do have a confession, I've never even tried a fig. Never even seen one until your channel. Can anyone tell me what they taste like? All I know is fig newton's.. We have a small orchard and my husband asked if there's anymore fruit tree's I want, if they are good I could plant a few.
@LazyDogFarm

Depends on the variety or flavor profile you get. A honey fig tastes much different than a berry fig.

We'll have some varieties available again in the fall, but should have all of them back in stock early next year (late winter). They do sell out fast, but hopefully we can grow more now so that doesn't happen as quickly.

Travis, thank you so much for all of your videos. I learned so much from you every year.. congratulations on your new larger greenhouse. Just for your awareness, most thermostats turn on or off at a settable temp. But they ONLY turn off or on at a temp 2 degrees less or more than the settable temp. AND YOU ARE STUCK WITH THAT. IF you want a thermostat with greater and independent settable on and off temperatures try something like a Digiten WTC200. (But check the current and power ratings.) That may prove useful so your system does not oscillate on and off before the whole room cools or is heated.

To be fair, I didn't ask any company either. I feel like this structure is a little different since it's used to grow our business, and not just something that we would be using to grow our own food. As I mentioned in the video, probably not going to be a whole lot of content around it. But I did feel like I needed to explain what it was since it will likely be in the background of many videos now.
