😀 A BIT ABOUT US:
We’re Marianne & Chris, a happily married couple from the UK. Marianne is a living kidney donor to her best friend, and realising that life was for living and never really knowing what’s round the corner - we decided to fulfil our dream of travelling full time.
So in March 2018 after the kids had left home, we sold our belongings, rented our house and moved into our campervan called Trudy. We set off to see the world and after vanlifing around Ireland and Europe, we grabbed our backpacks and spent 5 months exploring Central America.
Feeling like we needed a challenge, we planned the ultimate van life adventure! In Jan 2020 set off to drive around the World from UK to UK. But after arriving in Turkey, covid caught up with us and closed the borders, so we had a wonderful 18 months exploring this special country. Realising we were not going to be able to head further East, we decided to do a handbrake turn and go the other way and shipped our van to the USA.
We hope you enjoy coming with us, and we’ll continue to share our real adventures and hope you feel inspire to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

UP North of Michigan is the most beautiful. Sand dunes, Glacier water Lakes, Great Lakes, MACKINAC ISLANDS, Lavender Fuelds and Sunflower fields in the summer. And beautiful Sunsets

Someone already mentioned it, but make sure you follow the weather when you get here in the States - the spring in the southern states can be turbulent with tornadoes and flooding and you have to be careful about it. Fires in the west during the summer are also a big threat lately because of drought, so take care. Also, make sure you have all your cvid jabs! You do not want to end up in the American medical system - very expensive! Think about getting traveler's insurance. Other than that hoping you have a good time, stay healthy and safe travels!!

Might like to know more about the transformer you have for Trudy's electrics once you get her back. I was wondering how the UK/US voltage difference would be addressed. Dunno if you've looked into it, or if you're even eligible, but have you considered a membership with AAA (read as "Triple A") for your time in the US? It would give you some discounts on dining, roadside assistance for mechanicals (touch wood), a network of reputable garages (touch wood again), trip planning resources, and paper maps galore at AAA office locations. #notsponsored *Sooo* looking forward to your Stateside adventures!!! ❤❤😎👍xx

Don't even try to enter Canada. As senior Canadian Citizens, trying to come home after a holiday, we were treated like criminals, yelled at by a Canadian border official at Sarnia border, we had taken PCR tests 72 hours before, the results had not come back to us - we were asking for advice....it was awful...we had to go back to Port Huron, get more tests and wait for the results.. however the way we were treated was horrendous...
