Side note: Pamukkale means 'Cotton Castle' in Turkish, not cotton "candy" castle like Cynthia, the sweet tooth, keeps saying!
The two adventurers finally arrive in Turkey.They are baffled by the generosity of the people there and how friendly everybody is.After trying out different Turkish delicacies, they head over to the natural pools of Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis.

Sometimes we are a bit nervous when we hitchhike for the first time in a new country but that feeling disappears pretty quickly when we discover how nice people are.We are definitely planning to visit Australia at some point, Cynthia was there a few years ago,it looks like a fascinating country!

that turkish pizza looks yummy. why do you have to take off your shoes at Pamukkale? woah, 2:57 looks cool! why was it so empty when you went?
@journalofnomads
@journalofnomads 7 жыл бұрын
We went during the low season and the reason why we took our shoes off was to protect the rocks because they break really easily.

Well how awesome are you two!!? I applaud your hitchiking in so many different countries, what an experience and adventure! It is something I have to say I'm a little nervous doing when travelling as a solo female but I'm so happy to see that you have had such wonderful experiences. Loved this video. Turkey is very close to my heart as I went on lots of family holidays there as a child. I completely agree with what you say about the Turkish people. So kind, hospitable and full of love for fellow humans. I have never had chance to visit Pamukkale but now it is definitely on the bucket list! Yo have a new subscriber and I look forward to seeing more of your adventures :)

You are very welcome :) I would definitely think you get a lot more genuine interaction by hitchiking and it must be a lovely way to meet people in the country you are travelling through, getting to know them and their culture. I visited Olu Deniz, Fethiye, Bodrum, Dalyan & Gocek :) I can still speak a very little amount of Turkish, that I learnt whilst on holidays all those years ago! I hope you continue to have a wonderful time there :)
