We WALKED from NORTH to SOUTH BALI - Day 1

Together with my friend @Mash Is Free we walked 60KM from North to South Bali. It is safe to say this was one big EPIC ADVENTURE. During this walk we faced many challenges. We had to face Bali's central mountains which include several peaks over 2,000 metres in elevation, the high rainfall in the northern parts of the island and the insane heat and cold weather.
Many people told me I was crazy and that it would be an impossible thing to do. But I still packed my bags, found someone crazy enough to join me and traveled to the north side of Bali. Because

Hi Susan 🙂 Not sure if someone has explained it. So, rice in Indonesian has two meanings: nasi (coked, ready to eat) and beras (before cooked). Then gabah or padi (paddy) is grain 🙏

I really like the way you interact with the Iocals and always keep smiling along the way. I was fascinated on how you gave your body time to recover before going walking again in the next day. I even failed to think and made conclusion of how tired I am when I do that as well.😁 and for public toilet maybe it is good idea to take a portable toilet for the next long walking😄

That is beras and it has to dry first they clean it with a machine to take the husk off.after cooking it becomes nasi.

So nice that you have literally traveled the whole Bali with your own feet, Susan.. A little remark about the electrical lines is that in most SEA countries, you would often see that, so it is a nice fact to remember to be cautious while walking around, hahaha. The snacks you saw is called rengginang, because most Indonesians eat not only kerupuk as snacks, but also rengginang and other types of it for a dining complimentary.... Nasi is the word for cooked rice only. They have several different words for rice depending on what stage of the rice is in. You shouldn’t use Nasi for rice that has just been harvested or that is drying.

Rice di Indonesia kalau masih di pohonnya namanya "padi" Kalau udah di panen namanya "gabah" Kalau udah di pisahkan dengan kulitnya namanya "beras" Beras yang hancur kecil kecil namanya "menir" Beras yang di masak namanya "Nasi" Di masak sampai hancur namanya "bubur" Kalau beras di masak pakai daun namanya "lontong" Kalau di masak pakai bungkus daun kelapa namanya "ketupat" Dan masih banyak lagi...
