Thanksgiving movies aren’t rare necessarily as they are hiding in plain sight. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is obviously a go to movie for Thanksgiving, but there’s also Dutch, Son in Law, Spider-Man (2002), and basically a whole lot of them aren’t technically centered around the holiday, but using it as a narrative device, pretty much, but all pretty appropriate to watch for that purpose. It’s something you don’t think about until you start rewatching certain movies, and you’re like “wait… is this a Thanksgiving movie?”
