The Patrol wagons wouldn't be, plenty of the others would be. The solid axle vehicles only have easy toe adjustment, so wheel alignment not such an issue, unless some dufus puts caster bushes in upside down.... and yes, I have seen a dipstick Patrol owner with a 4" lift and 3 degree bushes installed upside down. Does it wander on the highway? - yes, says he. No shit, says I.

2012 Amarok Ultimate. After 4 long years of saving ive finally just finished getting all the accessories on my rig so now the last piece of the puzzle is to upgrade my suspension to suit the load before my daughter and I head up north from Brisbane to Cairns to visit her grandparents but go via Fraser Island. I like how the grey prado had the suspension kit and he was sweet cause he had a couple hundred kilos left on his gvm, then the next white prado has issues cause he only had 200kg left .

@@AlexandarHullRichter nope the second white one was loaded up and "squatting like a dog " from all the weight of all his gear but it had 200 to go , that was bad they said , but the previous grey one was fine cause it has a couple hundred kilos to go , a couple to me is 2 or 3 so it had a hundred extra and was fine apparently . I could only see 100 kg difference between white and grey but grey one had their awesome suspension that have it 100kg extra gvm ha

2018 RAM 2500 Cummins. First trip off-road will be where ever the first Search & Rescue calls comes from, here on the western side of Oregon. Great video highlighted very common mistakes made by owners. Could be a life saver for somebody. Thank you for posting!

I'm sure in countries where governments mandate certain fuel efficiency standards, they have bare bottom weight capacities so they perform better in city gas millage certifications. Most of those cars would be "overweight" with five adult male passengers in them... All you need to do is use common sense. If your car is fully loaded give yourself more stopping time, don't do max speed runs, and don't try to rally race it in the mountains. Easy peasy, no need to fret...

Isuzu MU-X. 2018. First trip would be VIC High County. Love it there. We’ve managed to go stock on a fair few tracks. We now have new off-road tyres and a transmission bash plate. A suspension upgrade would be most welcome. We go as a family, setup the tent, get everything sorted, then head out exploring. The minute lockdown is over and the tracks open up, we’ll be hitting the tracks (all 5 of us).

I built up my suspension even before thinking of doing an overland build on my Hilux, fully loaded for a two week trip not even close to being over weight. I would say most people just go all out without even thinking twice about weight.

2018 Toyota Hilux. I’ve been wanting to do a lift to her since I bought her 2 years ago, just always have to spend the money on other things. I’d take her straight up to Glassy and start trying some harder tracks, hopefully won’t have to try and straighten the side steps after every trip, might even stop the muddies scrubbing on the front mud flaps lol.

Hey Shauno I've got 2010 mn Triton single cab on stop suspension I'm only 17 but and turning 18 early next year in feburary I can't wait to get my license and see what the victorian high country has for me and a bit of a tour around wherever I can go soon I've been saving money for a strut spacer and new rear shocks so a cheap lift for the triton but I'm so happy this comp has come up for the chance to get one, I'de like to get a nudge bar or a cheaper bullbar swell but ill have to wait a bit for that ahah :) you guys ar so awesome and inspiring for the 4wding community I've got a 77 FJ45 with a 2F sitting in my uncles paddock waiting for me to restore it at some point and hopefully go up to cape York like Shauno did thanks heaps guys keep the inspiration coming ;)

Hey guys love the show(😘arse). So I’m heading to bromwel station to work on the roads for the next few months. I have a 105 cruiser standard( and I love the beast). A lift would be a dream come true, I’m saving everything I can, which is not to much with my habits if I’m honest! Lol, I’m traveling from the Gold Coast, just me the dog, cruiser and swag. So any extras would be greatly appreciated. End goal is to turn it into a “go anywhere I dare”machine, so having the suspension sorted= perfect start. Again, love the show, keep up the great work. 2016 BT50 dual cab , first trip would be Poeppel corner. The kids love camping so this would get us more places.

2021 Toyota Prado 150. First 4wd ever owned. First trip would be from Illawarra NSW to Fraser with the family. First time beach camp 🤙

2010 Nissan Navara D40, definitely got Fraser Island of the bucket list. We have a young family so it will be the kids first big trip away! And first big family trip

2003, we converted a 1997 Ford CF8000 commercial truck to our concept of an ExpeditionVehicle. GVWR -- 29,000 American pounds. Across the scale, our front axle carries the Cummins 8.3 at 8,000-pounds. Rear axle carries 6,000-pounds. About 14,000-pounds loaded. Leaving a nice margin of about seven ton. As you can imagine, components wear on this 'million-mile' chassis is significantly reduced compared to always loaded at/near max.
