@@LordDamianus You are right but that is what for Poles always fight and sacrifice their life “for freedom our and yours” and we cannot betray our beliefs in freedom and humanity even though Ukrainians are responsible for the biggest genocide of Poles in Wolyn 1943-44 and they are still praising as a hero genocide leader S.Bandera. We are Poles and we will always live accordingly to our moral standards even though they do not deserve our hospitality as a nation but we know also that not everyone in Ukraine was taking part in brutal ethnic cleansing. We believe, that they are humans between those Banderas murders and criminals. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” Rom. 12.21

Once there was Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Ukraine was a part of it too. I am happy that we create history now and can help our Ukrainian friends and live together do business, work and have fun. We also welcome our Belarusian friends. Belarusian people can feel at home in Poland if they wish to visit us. We also mean no harm to Russians. It is just baffling that Russians call Ukrainians brothers and act that way.

I've been in Przemyśl yesterday, having 6 seats avaliable in my car, so I went to former Tesco (reception point) to offer free transport to Warszawa. I had to fill in a form and show my ID, then volunteer lady anounced my offer by microphone. Just after 5 minutes I took 2 women and 1 kid and 1 teenager (12?) to Warszawa, but no luggage. Another 2 women with kids were following us in their car, because they were travelling together. I have to say I was a little bit scared, because the lady driver was just "sitting on my back" all 400 kilometers. They had already booking at hotel near Warszawa and as I heard they have no any plan for next days. Maybe they will stay in Warszawa, or go to another city / country. By the way I've seen many Europeans from Italy, UK, Germany, even Spain to offer transport and / or accomodation. I've also seen 3 British guys near local L'Eclerc supermarket loading cartons of Sneekers bars to thir van. Also Italians in uniforms (I guess Civil Defence) working hard to organize the chaos.

11:27 its an instant pudding. 200ml of hot water or so, toss that in, stir, done. Budyń - Pudding. Wanilia- Vanilla. Słodka chwila - Sweet moment. 11:41 English goulash, but its basically just a piece of meat. For a piece of canned meat it is pretty tasty. Gulasz - Goulash, Angielski - English. 11:54 Pulpety - meatballs. those are in tomato sauce. 11:58 Shower Gel. Żel - Gel, Prysznic - Shower. Żel pod prysznic - Shower Gel (Pod - Under). 12:15 its medicine against Egzema. It is to be used for some alergic reactions on skin, skin irritation and such. 12:19 Linomag is also a medicne for skin irritation. Guess those are added due to people sitting for a long time in reception centers or in travel which might cause skin burns and whatnot.

It will a little bit explain how polish ppl in generally feel right now about ukrainians: "Poles take very personally that what is happening in Ukraine. We try help them as we can... and we know it, this is still too little... Horror of The Second World War is still burning in every polish heart. I'm glad you are safe now and I think I understand what you've felt leaving country who is still fighting for freedom, paying the the highest price. Gen. Witold Urbanowicz, 303 Squadron commander said "Because We do not beg for freedom, We fight for it" and that's what Ukrainians do now. Nation of Heores. Slava Ukrainie." It's our duty to help Ukrainians. I've thought it's a myth about poles are united in times of troubles. I was wrong. Stay safe!

As soon as they attacked Georgia, we said that Ukraine would be next. As usual, nobody listened to us. Every foreign government said that we were oversensitive about Russia. Yea, but he is in this video in Gdynia not in Gdańsk. 🙃 And in this case it is kinda funy how he is able to feel the freedom because "Free City of Danzig 1920-1939" was free only by the name at that time in reality it was under German control and Germans in Danzig were hostile to the Polish people and Poland. When Adolf party was elected they almost lost the election, they won only because Comintern from Moscow ordered German communists to not vote for Adolf oposition so ofc they voted for the socialists... but in case of Danzig? Oh, boy. In Danzing nazi got complete political domination from day one and support for them was only growing... Poland made decision to build its own city to have port-city that will be free for real not only in name. The city growth was incredeable fast and all that because Poland wanted to have free access to the sea and by the sea to the world... City of Gdańsk was build gefore WW2 as a Polish window to the whole free world. 😉

I'm a high school student from Lublin. I was born when Poland was already in EU, I was born long after the horrors Poland had suffered were gone. I thought that things like wars, refugees and other horrible things are only in my history books. Didn't think I would see this all right in front of my eyes... As far as I see, Poles generally do help a lot Ukrainians right now. Even though our two nations have a rough past, right now we see each other not as a Pole or Ukrainian, but as a another human being. Even in my local grocery shop goods are collected for refugees. Me and my friend hanged a Ukrainian flag in our school to show solidarity. We also serve as a point where people donate clothes, food, drinks and other stuff, and we, students and teachers, segregate them, put them in packages and then send them where they are needed. We even collected plushies for children at the border. There was even a rally taking place in Plac Litewski. In the city there are many places where people hang Ukrainians flags, in my local church there are rosary prayers for peace on Ukraine. Everyone is trying to help, even if it isn't much. But on the other hand I have information that Poland is slowly overwhelmed by the amount of refugees. Friend of my family works at polish train company and right know he drives to Chełm (one of the major polish cities on the eastern border close to Ukraine) every day to help there with trains coming from Ukraine full of refugees. Stations are overcrowded, there are signs that small epidemics (not even from covid) can start appearing, some cities refuse to take more refugees because they just don't have enough space. Optimism and generosity are still really big among the Poles, but I think it is slowly declining. Polish zloty is declining, prices not only of gasoline are getting really high - food and other services are getting more expensive. I don't know if we will be able to support so much Ukrainians in the long run. But for now we are helping everyone that needs our help. If you have a way to help, maybe donating money to truthful charities, fighting with Russian trolls or even spreading the news about what is happening, please do so. I just hope that in the future I won't be writing from this account as a refugee in Western Europe...
@Alchomik7
@Alchomik7 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the West has to start to help more. I heard people in shops worring about our economic future. I don't think it is going to be (that) bad, we only need some new laws that will help the refugees to work in Poland - with the help of the West and the refugees themselves, we will manage. And I hope Putin will stop soon with his USSR-renewal dream...

Hi Jan! Poland is not going to get any award for what is doing for Ukrainians. A lot commissars in European Union think we are Nazis and we don't follow Europeans values. What the European values means for them you can see on the German or Dutch reaction when the war started (5 thousand helmets it was the best help they could offer Ukraine). In the last few years European Commission is targeting Poland with so many sanctions for those European values and role of law. They couldn't explain what those slogans means but they are very comfortable to use against Poland. The administration of UE is under Russian influence and propaganda. They tried to destabilize Poland. I hope they will leave us in peace.

You're right but other countries are seriously limiting their help to accepting 0, 5k, 20k, or 100k max. Poland has now taken in TWO MILLION Ukrainians and tens of thousands (usually 100,000+) still keep arriving every day!!! There was good news when Germany said they would accept ANY number of Ukrainian refugees - no limit - but they have now completely changed that decision, and have said they are NOT going to take anymore. They have even told the Polish government, that if any trains full of Ukrainians try to cross the border into Germany, they will be turned back! So unless other countries decide to seriously step up, Poland 'IS' alone... and it WON'T be able to cope (it's already having serious problems). Yet the prediction is, that if the fighting continues, a few more million Ukrainians will be crossing the Polish border very soon!

It does not have a stiff form, like a classic pudding, and is more lose. There is already powder milk in the package, so you only need to add the hot water and mix thoroughly. The correct amount of ingredients can be found at the back. Add hot water, mix, let it cool, and it is ready to eat. And what you said is a tomato sauce, are actually meatballs in a tomato sauce :)

To be clear those flags shown at 9:50 on a bus are in fact Ukrainian flag on the left and on the right yellow-red flag of Capital City of Warsaw, not national flag of Poland. Polish flag is wite-red. That's exactly where colors of city buses in Poland ussualy come from - city flags. For example Warsaw has yellow-red buses, while Lublin, as you could see, paints them in yellow-red with green on the back, same as colors of Lublin's flag. Same with Gdańsk that paints their fleet in wite-red having white-red flag, while Gdynia paints them white-blue, having white-blue flag.
