We went to Dia De los Muertos Mexico | Cancun & Playa del Carmen
We went to Dia De los Muertos in Mexico. We attended all three days of the celebration. Although in many countries November 1st & 2nd are the only days that are celebrated; here in Mexico they also celebrate October 31st (Hallow's Eve or Halloween).
On the 31st we visited Playa del Carmen. A beautiful city on the coast of Mexico south of Cancun. The celebration and parade were so lovely to watch.
On the 1st we were back in Cancun to experience Dia de Los Inocentes ( Day of the Innocence or Day of the Children). We went to Puerto Juarez which had a beautiful celebration with the Ofrendas, musical performances, and many people in traditional Dia de Los Muertos attire.
On the 2nd we stayed in Downtown Cancun to see the Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). There the food, drinks, snacks and all sort of performances and shops were full of people local and foreign to experience this special celebration of life and death together.

Thanks! Traditionally, November 1st honors children that have passed away and November 2nd honors adults.
