I feel saddened the beach has dried up.I want to the Dead Sea for medical reasons in 1992 and loved the Solarium and Hotel Lot. Some of my life's fondest memories, and where I developed my love of Hebrew.

Im so glad I've found your channel! I've lived in Israel whaen I was a little girl. I lived in Haifa, but i have never been to the Dead Sea((( My dream is to visit Israel again

Yes, I have been to Yam HaMelak. And I did float in it. My wife and I visited in July of 2019. It was hot. The water was as warm as bathtub water. One thing I learned is to not get any of the water in my eyes.

I've never been to Dead Sea, may be some day, but have to attest, the way this beautiful girl speaks Hebrew, and it is excellent, which even isn't her mother tongue, is very encouraging for Hebrew learners.

Je n’étais pas allée à la Mer Morte depuis de nombreuses années. Quel ne fut pas le choc! Des hôtels se trouvaient là où il y avait la mer auparavant!! J’ai éprouvé une tristesse indicible! Je l’avais connue à moins 383 mètres. C’est désolant! Je suis contente de l’avoir connue avant! Mais j’espère encore une solution.

I have been a few times over my life, most recently before covid - (ah those were the days!). I love the desert and the walks at Ein Gedi and of course the "Dead" sea and mineral baths are so relaxing. Thanks for another great video.

I love the sun and I love the heat. I was at Yam Hamelach this past summer when it was 105 degrees. The water was hot and I kept running out to cool off in the 'warm' showers lol. It was exhilarating. I love everything in holy Eretz Yisrael and I love your videos! Thank you.

I am sad to see Yam hamelach so reduced. I went with a friend in 1986 to nahal arugot. Ibloved the place and the wild birds flying this route from Europa for Winter

Shalom Elsa and Doron, video mecujan meod! I went to the Dead Sea years ago, at first we were in Mitzpe Ramon and then went to Ein Gedi. Your videos are brilliant but they can´t make up for a real visit.I hope to go to Israel in the very near future.😀 Behaclacha.

I’ve been to the Dead Sea twice and I got to say that it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited so far. It’s a shame that it’s drying up so fast. 😕

תודה על עוד אחלה סרטון. הייתי בים המלח כמה פעמים. מאוד אחבתי. הפעם האחרונה הייתה במרץ 2022. היה די קר והמים היו כ16 מעלות. שחיתי עם הילדים שלי אבל בגלל הקור בילינו יותר זמן בבריכה מאשר בים. השחיה בים הייתה יותר כדי לסמן וי, שהיינו ושחינו. הפעם הראשונה הייתי בגיל 18 ב1995. הייתי בחוף לא מוגן ומאוד רציתי לשחות כי אף פעם לא הייתי בים המלח קודם. כמובן לא היו שם מקלחות, אז הלכתי כקילומטר מהחוף עד המקלחת הקרובה. בזמן ההליכה כל המלח התגבש ויצר שכבה עבה של מלח בכל הגוף, ובמיוחד בין הרגליים ובבית השחי. הלכתי רוב הדרך בפישוק עם הידיים מורמות לצדדים, כסוג של דחליל עלוב מתהולך. בדייבד, זה לא היה שווה את זה. עדיין כואב לי קצת כשאני נזכר בחוויה הזאת. ממש לא מומלץ לשחות בים המלח בלי להתקלח מיד אחר כך.

@@PieceofHebrew סיפרת על התייבשות ים המלח. כשהייתי שם בפעם האחרונה היו גבישי מלח גדולים על קרקעית הים שהכאיבו את כפות הרגליים עד שנכנסתי עמוק יותר והתחלתי לצוף. זה תמיד היה כך או שזה רק בשנים האחרונות? אני לא זוכר את הגבישים המכאיבים מהביקורים שלי בשנות התשעים. זה כי הם לא היו שם או שאני כבר לא זוכר אותם?

@@iiofin אני מניח שנכנסת בצד הדרומי- שם יש הצטברות של מלח בגלל עניין האידוי של המפעלים הגורמים לכך שכל הזמן מים מתאדים אבל המלח מצטבר בקרקעית. אני משער שהיה בפעם זו בהחלט הרבה יותר מלח מאשר הפעם הקודמת שהיית.

שלום ! תודה לסרטון. הלכתי לים המלח פעמיים. אבל הפעם האחד לא הלכתי בתוך המים כי היה לי פצה ברגל אז אם אלך בים זה יהיה כאב לי יותר מדי בגלל המלח. הייתי בת עשר והייתי ממש זהירה לא לכאוב עצמי אבל לא הצלחתי. הפעם השני הייתי בת עשרים ולא כאבתי לי אז הלכתי בתוך המים המלוח. היה ממש כיף לצוף על המים!

This was great but being in the US where we have often seeing sink holes, i would have to disagree about the reason being the concentration of salt, I don't know why they do occur but this goes back to biblical times when Korach and his group were swallowed up when the earth opened up. They're from God but still not convinced what trajectory of events occur other than possibly excessive rain or moisture to cause the earth to open up. Love your videos and this place looks just gorgeous,

I feel like the difference in name represents the Israeli spirit. Instead of naming the sea after something it does not have (life), they name it after what it does have. It's such a positive and resourceful attitude.
