Nick, I think you’ve misread the panel. Boruto says “he’s placed limiters on your offensive abilities , and he’s adjusted your defensive and regenerative abilities TO ABOVE MAXIMUM levels.” The way I’m reading this is, Amado’s weakened you offensively and put that power into your defense so that you’ll survive longer which is what he wants. Fixing this nerf will probably make him more capable to take on the shinju but at a bigger risk to himself. (Which also nicely makes for more drama and stakes for the story)

Possibly Shibai did fall for the scheme but had the power to ascend already which is when he split into two beings, like kami did with piccolo but forced by the ascension kicking his impurities out of his soul waiting for a suitable vessel to reincarnate in. And boruto being the son of the two people with significant amounts of otsutsuki chakra fit that bill. This could be farther proven by himawari getting kurama as its said that when a tailed beast uses all its chakra it dies, but if the world of boruto/naruto work in the ways of reincarnation by compatibility, as shown by naruto and sasuke, then it would make sense that kurama didnt just awaken in himawari because of the chakra she was born with but also because she is the first person in history strong enough to be able to reincarnate a tailed beast. Which could be why she's fused with Kurama instead of just having him inside of her like a jinchuriki.

I think Amado is Shibai partner from another time what I think happened is they got into it over power and Shibai beat Amado and then changed everything including him into a human making a new reality. If it’s true Shibai created this world then it explains how Amado seems to be so smart and know about the Otsosuski the way he does. And why everything seems to be going his way it’s because he has a shinjutsu which is helping him see his destiny to reverse back to becoming a god. Using code Isshiki Kawaki everyone to reach that final step of resurrection but Boruto seems to be changing his fate so he can’t make the proper steps but no matter he knows he will reach this goal. I also believe that if he is a Otsosuski turned human that he is Kawaki grandfather and Delta is his mother. I think this will be Amado final trump card to get Kawaki to do what he needs to be done to turn back into the Otsosuski he once was. Okay so Amado as this series Danzo makes some sense, but it's very important to note, Kashin Koji knows the future of many different timelines, timelines where Amado probably isn't a big factor, because if he is, then Boruto already knows about the threat of Amado. This means Amado being a threat either needs to be way down the line, in a way that Kashin Koji wouldn't even bother looking that far, or Kashin Koji is still on Amado's side and helping manipulate things the way he wants them to go. I don't think Amado is an Otsutsuki. I think he's a human, with a daughter.

Another thing that supports this theory about two based around the buddha story is that the soul thorns look like a fig (you can look up the soul thorn and the fig if you want). When it comes to Amado, what if Amado wasn't a lower ranking Otsutsk but instead part of a different Otsutski that Shibai split off because of that Otsutski starting to become a problem and Amado wanting to revive his "daughter" isn't what's really going on but instead of trying to revive said daughter he is trying to weaken/kill the other half of him making him weak enough for Amado to absorb and become strong enough (for what he believes) to take on Shibai and become the god of the Otsutski. And along with this theory to come up with something about Shiki, what if Shiki is the other half of the Otsutski that Amado came from but Shiki ended up dying before Amado could absorb him. And the real reason that Shiki/Code is looking for the 10 tails is to absorb Amado and become stronger than Shibai to take revenge of Shibai, both of them trying to get stronger to become stronger than Shibai to take revenge but neither of them wanting to lose their personality by joining with the other when the other is too strong.

I think it’s about equal chance that it is Amato betrayed Shibai as it is that he is a retainer. What I get tripped ip on is the use of shinjutsu and the means to counter it. Regardless of Amatos allegiances we have to ask why Boruto with access to 10 Directions has not commented on the connection, yet can clearly see the future of characters like his own and Kawaki. We also see Amato have a private thought questioning how Boruto could know things, making it clear he isnt actively resisting it. The fact that Momoshiki inaccurately perceived Boruto’s future creates more questions about the weaknesses of the Ten Directions. For some reason the Ten Directions inherently works differently than every other shinjutsu we know of. And we have to ask what other all powerful abilities could be used to explain a true counter (for example a Shroud ability). Because Amato simply casting omnipitance on himself doesnt address not being able to see the future. I think the best way before addressing Amato would be to have another Otsutski come hunting for Shibai remnants after all the cells have began acting up and 10 Directions is unable to for-see it. Otherwise this will just keep bugging me as the only shinjutsu to work differently.

He maxed out his defensive stats bruh, and kept his attack stats above code levels. So Kawaki is strong enough to beat the strongest threat they knew but weak enough to keep in check while having a defence that can tank hits from unknown stronger enemies like Jura. So it makes sense, no need for theories for now (until the next chapter drops), so just continue ya series on the full potential of underused Naruto characters or full potential of Boruto anime only characters and how they might be integrated into the story.

Now the last theory got me thinking because if Amado is actually a drastically weakened otsutsuki then could it be possible that his actually daughter isn't Akebi but Kaguya. Who refused the same fate as her father as a lower ranked otsutsuki. So he isn't trying to revive Akebi but transfer Kaguya into Deltas body

Nick missed the point that Amado has been effected by omnipotence too (maybe, for all we know that could be a lie but then again why would he bring it up just to himself). i never thot of shibai as an evil otsutsuki , or rather my headcanon was by nature when he ate enough chakra fruits to leave his body behind in the physical plane and ascended he became enlightened . as such i can see him coming in as kinda a spiritual force to guide boruto later along the line , which is why the strong destinies that kashin koji predicted were most likely to occur didnt , because of his own sorta divine intervention . this could be linked to the jougan which could be like an all seeing eye that links boruto to shibai on a metaphysical level .
