It cannot be stated enough how incredible the 2017 season was as a Dodgers fan. It still hurts so much to see the outcome of that world series. To this day it's the best Dodgers team I've ever seen. Judge was my AL MVP and Joc Pederson was my WS MVP. *Season, but still my favorite.

When watching the Yankees play in 2017, any time Aaron Judge would come to bat and my daughter was in the room, I'd tell her: "Watch this guy. He's either going to hit a homerun or strikeout." There were quite a few "Wow, are you psychic?" moments.

2017 hurt so much because the dodgers almost didn’t make the playoffs, they got into a 13 game loss streak in August going into September. There was even a Quote floating around at the time that “maybe next year (2018) would be the season they took it all the way to the WS and not 2017” they battled back and played like champs. If you were a real dodger fan, it made so much sense to win that year. In fact everyone expected a Yankees - Dodgers WS in 2017. I will never forget how strong of a season the dodgers had that year. All I can say is oh well. Time for 2024 WS BABY

It makes so much sense in retrospect. The Astros robbed everyone along the way; Red Sox, Yankees, and eventually the Dodgers. We would have had a truly historic and memorable postseason that year, if not for the Atros’ cheating. Think about it - Yankees/Red Sox ALCS, and either a Red Sox/Dodgers World Series (setting up a repeat of the 2018 World Series) or a Yankees/Dodgers World Series (which the 2024 World Series would later rematch). Sigh… I didn’t feel as much disdain for the Astros that year, but once it became clear that they had no integrity, and had forever tarnished the reputation of that franchise, I just couldn’t enjoy baseball the same again. To this day, I don’t look at baseball the same way. Cheaters got a slap on the wrist from Manfred. Still bothers me.

Thst Indians starting rotation with historical numbers would suddenly get tagged when otherwise stacked wins with double digit K’s rotation long. Let’s not forget Boston errrr. Alex Cora retiring and dumping mookie to La for a bag of baseballs and dodger dog costumes to race around the track between innings. Then brought him back after a few months.

It was a great season but i think it is best to say there was sign stealing but that it was bigger than just 3 teams in that era (hence why the players were given immunity as the MLB worried that if they tried to take them down they would have been like these teams were cheating as well and soon you have it where most if not all the playoff teams that year lose their players). Also if you bring it up it should always be mentioned that Altuve didn't cheat and got a crap ton of hate for not cheating.
@peskytalkАй бұрын
I don’t THINK I said Altuve was cheating? I might’ve but I believe I said his team was and some fans felt like judge was robbed! I might’ve said Altuve cheated though which would’ve been a mistake

@peskytalk which i get that but for that season if you are a player who isn't cheating on a team who is the only boost you will see in stats is RBIs and Runs which he didn't have. So other than the wins Altuve didn't really benefit from it and i think it strengthens his case for that MVP

I will never not be so angry about that cheating scandal because as a Yankee fan I watch Aaron Judge come out of nowhere and just dominate and win Rookie of the year and Home run Derby and come in second MVP and it should have been a Yankee Dodger World Series... Now when I was watching it happen I was upset that the Yankees got knocked out and that Altuve beat Judge however to me it look like the Astros really fought for it and I had to respect it and I liked Altuve and I liked the team so even though I would say that I prefer the Dodgers to the Astros overall I was rooting for the Astros to be the Cinderella story and win and I was completely fine with it. Then we find out what we did and they weren't the Cinderella story at all They were the villains who cheated their way into the postseason and into the series and into the win and into the MVP win for Altuve, meanwhile Judge and those 2017 Yankees were amazing and were World Series caliber but because they didn't make it the team was picked apart and even though they've gotten big acquisitions in following years like Stanton and Cole and Rizzo it isn't until 7 years later that they finally look like a World Series caliber team again even though Judge has been grinding and playing at that level since 2017 but still has yet to see a ring. No I'm not saying that the Yankees absolutely would have beat the Dodgers but they should have gotten that chance and given how close the games were between the Yankees and Astros even with the Astros cheating I absolutely believe that they would have beat their shows and made it into the World Series and had they made it in maybe they would have had more trust and kept the team mostly intact in 2018 and then by acquiring Stanton 2018 might of gone even better for them. And then the Dodgers being one of my favorite National League teams I felt for them because they did fight like crazy and it did come down to a final game and they probably would have won the series had the Astros not been cheating. I truly lost all respect for the entire establishment which sucks because there were a lot of guys that I liked on that team... I gained some for fiers because he came out with the truth and I get a lot of the players probably felt pressured into not coming out with the truth (and many have said Altuve did speak against it even though he never outed it so I can't hate him too much) but it just irks me that some of these guys barely got any sort of reprimand and I hate seeing the Red Sox and it's not because I mean Yankees fan it's because Alex Cora just gets to be manager despite being heavily involved in that cheating scandal and he's still a whiny, entitled and unsufferable person all around
