mouthwash? roll credits also you pointing out all the red and white is making me feel insane (positive) there's SO MUCH symbolism in this game it's wild, i never even picked up on all the red and white. it really does look like gums and teeth. incredible. while i'm talking about this game's design being amazing. i'd like to also mention its sound design which is phenomenal imo and i think we really hear it this video. about a year ago, i had a major surgery, the first one in my life, and i've just gotta say the direction and voice acting for the captain is horrifyingly real. it took me back to right after surgery, where i was literally hyperventilating and sobbing in pain for hours. it is disturbing to hear, that's literally how i sounded. and seeing how jimmy treats him is sickening

Yeah I love this game but that stuff's hard to watch Never been in that position myself but I had some relatives mistreating my grandfather when he was vulnerable and its just the worst, I don't understand how people can do it Esp to people considered family (or in Jimmy's case his friend)

27:30 Not sure if you put it together (probably) But Jimmy sleeps in the bed you woke up in, you saw Daisuke's bed with the magazine and gameboy and stuff Then Swansea sleeps further away, you walk it around 28 minutes in, its next to a bunch of bottles of mouthwash That means Anya sleeps next to the motion-activated Polle Which feels like it might be a pain bc she'd wake up if anyone walked past her to go the toilet or something if they accidentally set off Polle...

I've watched a couple different playthroughs but I never see lets players bring up this thing Jimmy does Anya asks him to help with Curly because giving him meds specifically makes her feel sick, and then he'll complain like 'Anya, aren't you meant to be a nurse? Why are you asking me?' So then in response Anya will go like "oh... sorry, its ok I'll do it" But then Jimmy refutes her again and does it to spite her I've seen other people do that and it always annoys me like using a request for help against someone If he really didn't want to do it, Anya could've handled it but instead its the worst of both worlds where he forces himself to do it And uses it to make her life harder

Played the whole game after watching these 2 letsplay episodes, and omg there so much to unpack lmao Madness, pure madness. Very curious how Welonz will comment the rest of the game, again, there's a lot to talk about. P.S. Sad that stupid controversy makes discussion about this game such a mess. I'm very intrigued by this indie game, reminds a bit of Brainstorm (1983) lead by Christopher Walken and Natalie Wood; Louise Fletcher gave incredible performance there, her last scene in the movie absolutely unforgettable. It has similar visual and sound design style, plus paranoia vibes. Of course, Alien and The Thing were released before Brainstorm, definitely inspired it. I always find dynamics between characters in a closed environment to be fascinating to witness as it captures social chemistry and structure in a poignant way. Mouthwashing is creepy and eerie, but most of all I find it greatly depressing. Can we all really escape consumerism and the sweet tyranny of corporate world? Don't worry, buddy, your mental decay isn't going to smell bad, trust in Mouthwashing. Sleep well, don't forget painkillers, see nice nightmares provided by your deep guilt. And most of all - stay tuned! - who knows, maybe in the end there'll be a whole cake!
