Market sentiment is muddled right now.
The bull rally since the start of the year is appearing to sputter out.
The bears are growling louder -- but they too, haven't been able to grab control of the price direction.
In murky times like these, turning to the data & navigating by what it's telling us is often highly useful. Which is why we're fortunate to have one of the best technical analysts in the industry, Tom McClellan, joining us today to share his latest interpretation of the current market action.

At Wealthion, we show you how to protect and build your wealth by learning from the world’s top experts on finance and money. Each week we add new videos that provide you with access to the foremost specialists in investing, economics, the stock market, real estate and personal finance.
We offer exceptional interviews and explainer videos that dive deep into the trends driving today's markets, the economy, and your own net worth. We give you strategies for financial security, practical answers to questions like “how to grow my investments?”, and effective solutions for wealth building tailored to 'regular' investors just like you.
There’s no doubt that it's a very challenging time right now for the average investor. Above and beyond the recent economic impacts of COVID, the new era of record low interest rates, runaway US debt and US deficits, and trillions of dollars in monetary and fiscal stimulus stimulus has changed the rules of investing by dangerously distorting the Dow index, the S&P 500, and nearly all other asset prices. Can prices keep rising, or is there a painful reckoning ahead?
Let us help you prepare your portfolio just in case the future brings one or more of the following: inflation, deflation, a bull market, a bear market, a market correction, a stock market crash, a real estate bubble, a real estate crash, an economic boom, a recession, a depression, or another global financial crisis.
Put the wisdom from the money & markets experts we feature on Wealthion into action by scheduling a free consultation with Wealthion’s endorsed financial advisors, who will work with you to determine the right next steps for you to take in building your wealth.

I'd love a short crash course or insight to how and why exchange rates do what they do. Why $ and € gets stronger against other currencies, even when they are printing so much, while some other places, like Norway that has zero dept, huge existing and reserved resources, didn't print.

My opinion is probably heretic, but I really believe Jerome Powell is working based on reports on inflation figures. We can't really tell what will follow until after the inflation result comes in this February. Meanwhile, historical data have proven time and time again that stocks will always outperform bonds in the long run, so I'm sticking out my guns and I'm remaining in the market. I just need to pick out quality stocks, and I'm good to go. The problem is how to find them.

The one effective technique I use is staying in touch with a financial coach for guidance. It might sound basic or generic, but getting in touch with a financial advisor was how I was able to outperform the market during the pandemic and raised a profit of roughly $170k within 3 months of investing.

@@albacus2400BC I completely agree, which is why I prefer to delegate daily decision-making to an investing coach. It is difficult for them to underperform given their specialised knowledge and research, as well as the fact that every one of their abilities is geared toward utilising risk for its asymmetrical potential, and mitigating it as a buffer against certain bad turns. I've been working with an investment coach for over two years, and have made over a quarter million dollars.

Putting well-earned money into the stock market can be over emphasized for first-time investors, unlike a bank where interest is sure thing! Well, basically times are uncertain, the market is out of control, and banks are gradually failing. Tom showed us in his charts why interest rates will rise for the next 40 years and then he inadvertently told us why they can't ever rise as long as the current debt-money system is in place. As Japan found out 30 years ago, rates above zero will be the doom of federal governments worldwide because of the staggering amount of debt they have accumulated. Central banks will be forced to keep rates as low as possible or the entire monetary system will implode under the ever-increasing debt.

If there is a big downturn they'll use their "tools" again, no doubt, and it's then the Keynesian rotten fruit will come to its fruition of runaway inflation. Mathematically modelling is just that. Modelling. It is applying mathematical formulae using known variables. The trouble is when it is applied to unknown variables .(And the stock market has an unlimited number of potential variables that effect outcome..including the big one: psychology). It is all very well to apply mathematics to what has happened in the past. It is another thing entirely to use it to "project and predict the future". At a given point in time (the present) all TA graphs halt to a stop. There is no way mathematics can predict what happens the next day, let alone months/years ahead with unknown variables *not* in the model. This applies to every model ever written. Applied in every field. Not unless *every* variable is "known". Just MO

Excellent guest and content. The voice of reason based on sound analysis of the facts. Totally missing on the floor of the NYSE. Thank you, Adam, for having him on.

The 30 year mortgage went 7.1 today, not talked about much. I'm seeing Nextdoor light up with complaints from folks with buyer's remorse......people that threw big money at junk properties recently. End of the bubble

Man talk about a flashback. When I was young, my job was to fetch the Barrons from the mailbox and help my MIT PhD father start plotting! Flight Plan! Thanks for bringing back that memory CWO👍🏻

Great data and even better presentation to tie it all together. I don't understand the mechanics of climate change and interest rates, though. Shouldn't a cooling period increase prices for food since supply is less but demand stays constant?
