Yvonne my heart broke this morning watching Wunder going to Stall G and leaving his mother. He did extremely well. Sally did well also. It’s nice he’s with two other colts that we know. Seeing Rising Star every day is just what I need right now. He is so happy and contented. Dewuke is an amazing dog. He knows Rising Star needs a friend. It’s lovely to see him in the Arena with Rising Star. He was Spideys friend for a long time. I loved the fun they had together. I hope everyone has a good weekend. 🌠🙏💗

It was a great idea to bring Saly along. At first, in the H. meadow, Wunder says "I don't need my mom" but then at stal G he says "Mommy mommy help me."🧡🧡

I personally wouldn't have brought sale along because the colt seeing his mom while being separated for weaning purposes could stress both out

It was less stress for Wûnder to go onto the transporter. To have to do that without his mom would be more brutal.

It's always a bittersweet but necessary day. Horses are different than people and Wunder needs to socialize with other colts now. Saly will be just fine.

Noticed every time Risey's in the arena his other friend Dieuwke is there too. Wunder is such a big, strong, independent lad no wonder you needed help. But he'll do great with Willem as his new friend. Saly was very happy to be back at Stal H. Great video, thank you. 🥰🥰💕🐎💔

The weaning process was done softly Mem Saly has accompanied her big boy to boarding school at Stahl G and he has a new roomate Willem I am sure they will have a good time As for Saly she returned all frisky to the pasture where she found her friends She looked once or twice for her magnificient Wunder then returned eating her green grass Saly is a magnificient Crown Mare and Wunder has nothing to envy of his precious Mem with a character of his own but so endearing I will miss him a lot I am more upset than the two of them Risey looks very happy and Dieuwke is a good girl and take good care of him ❤🐎

I think it is fascinating that they have the soils tested and grass tested ......so they can adjust the nutrients the horses get....I had never heard of that before....makes sense

But Mem Yvonne knows that you now have to be with other colts to become strong and independent and to learn to get along with your peers. Dieuwke is very intuitive and sensitive. She played a lot with Spidey and runs along the fence of the arena when the Friesians are in there getting exercise. With Risey she is calmer, like she knows he needs a friend, but not a boisterous one. Goedzo Dieuwke!

Oh my, this was filmed in Sept of 23. What a nice gentle process. I am excited about the spring 24 foals already. That makes it easier to watch weaning, but the horses don't really care. What lovely experienced mares.

Wunder “knew” something was up. Such a smart boy, able to pick up on and sense his environment. He’s such a magnificent looking foal/colt. Yvonne and Saly gave him such a good start in life. Even though Saly was ready, she’s instinctively such a good mom that she still looks for her baby boy. Oh my, lump in the throat. He was our very first baby at Stal H. 🥹🤗

I think the herd at Stal H made weaning easier for Saly and Wunder. When we see how Uniek dealt with Wunder and we know from Reintje that she also treats other foals in a friendly manner. Wunder probably misses his herd more than his mother. The horses at Stal G. still seem to know Saly, the way she was greeted, but she was also happy to be back with her herd at Stal H.

Saly is used to this and was quite happy to be back with her friends at StalH and eating. Yes, I got a sense he was getting bored and restless at Stal H. In last video he was biting Saly in the stall. She was probably thinking she'd rather not have him as a stallmate anymore.

Yes, he can really play rough now. He couldn't do that with little Yfke or her mom would have trampled him. haha If they had them at stal H he'd have gone to them too, forming a little older foal group.
