‘Weapon grade gaslighting’: Rita Panahi calls out outrageous Olympics travesty

Sky News host Rita Panahi has slammed the International Olympic Committee for allowing a boxer who reportedly has XY chromosomes to compete against women at the Paris Games.
It comes as on Thursday, controversial Algerian boxer Imane Khelif defeated Italy’s Angela Carini after just 46 seconds.
Carini decided to end the match in under a minute after taking several punches to the head by Khelif.
“It doesn't get more absurd than the weapon-grade gaslighting we are witnessing at the moment," Ms Panahi said.
“Algeria's Imane Khelif and Taiwan's Lin Yu-Ting were only last year thrown out of the Women's World Boxing Championships for failing ‘gender eligibility tests’ but there they are in Paris beating the bejesus out of their unfortunate opponents.”

Finally, after many women lost their chances against XY people with testes, the IAAF had enough proof that testosterone impacted in the races. IOC is not giving the full story. The IOC voted to no longer recognise and work with the International Boxing Association in 2019. So the tests that determined they have XY chromosomes that the IBA conducted in 2023 can't be used by the IOC. Prior to 2019 these tests would have been used by the IOC and these boxes wouldn't have been allowed in the Olympics.

I have boycotted this Olympics. My country, ireland, seems to be doing great when it comes to winning medals but I not even watched any of their events. I am disgusted with the opening ceremony and in despair that men are winning in womens competitions. The Olympics is dead, as is womens sport.

She passed the gender requirements this year and at the Tokyo Olympics. What she failed was an unspecified gender test by the IBA for a different competition. The IBA has been removed as the governing association from the Olympics for various malpractices. She's also not trans. The speculation is that she's intersex and has Swyer Syndrome along with 1 out of every 80,000 other women in the world.

At the same time, they refuse the rules set by the International Boxing Association that would have prevented this situation.
