Great video! Thank you for answering my questions. I'll be very happy if I can get 180hp-200hp from my 300tdi.

well I didnt want that OM606 question to get controversial lol. I honestly wanted dave's expert opinion everyone can tell me the pro's I would like to know the CONS in a defender.. dave's entitled to his opinion... well thanks for trying anyway BOYZ!! love the channel keep up the great work.

I tell you what I will do Martin if someone who thinks their om606 Defender is perfect all round I will challenge them on video to be featured on here to 1. a drag race 2. A off road course 3. A trailer towing test 4. Smoke must be acceptable as no one likes plumes of smoke. I will find the footage from The Dyno shoot out day where my dirty 130 showed a pretty clean 396bhp and 828nm of torque. Thanks Dave.

A company that made HVAC installations did make a stainless chassis way back, initially for their own vehicle but they did make more.. no idea if that is the one mentioned.

Thanks for video, but I remember how om605 by DPUK demolished Mahker's 130 on dyno show.

Oh no… Dave’s been giving us grief all afternoon for the OM in this video…. (Chris). Can’t wait to see what he says to this!

Demolished it ! 😂😂😂I’d happily race it up the road ! It took half an hour for the 605 to come on boost ! Anyone can flood a diesel with fuel and strap a big turbo to it.

@@wearemahker No offense guys. I really like your videos and your hard work. I've converted my LR110 to om606, but I'd love to have another one converted to m57 to compare these two amazing engines. Greetings from old Mahker fan!

Great segment, really enjoy the Q&A sessions. Dave's position on the 'auto vs manual' ("If you want an auto go RR or Dico...") is a bit contradictory as you are doing Defender LS conversions with almost all autos. Specifically, I would like to know Dave's view on an M57 auto vs manual - Pros and Cons of both - bit like the video you did on the LS vs M57. I am a manual fan (massive), but after having driven an M57 Defender auto, they are very, very nice.

customer builds aint it, he can prefer manuals but the average londoner that buys his trucks are going to want auto

Hi Dave, question on the drive flanges. Your new ones look amazing btw! Noticed you mentioned silicone, I have a leaky one at the moment my TD5 and I understand they normally have a paper gasket. Should I be reinstalling old ones with silicone instead?

om606 is gutless off boost. cro-moly makes sense for chassis material.

I’m on my second set of Trucklite’s the first set lasted 9 years. The new ones are better and an amazing safety improvement. But yes you have to get out and clear off the snow which isn’t ideal but as it rarely snows that bad in the UK it wouldn’t stop me from fitting LED’s 👍
