Hi Dave, I watched one of your previous videos where you said you have had some negative experiences with 300 tdi engines like crankshaft seals leaking and so on. It is known among 300tdi owners that the crankshaft seals don't last a lifetime but they are far from unreliable if you install them correctly. I have never had a 200tdi but I really can't complain about my 300tdi, 400,000kms and still going strong. I know a few friends whose 300tdis has over 500,000kms on so they aren't unreliable.

Have an early 90 (1988) chassis with no rot but some surface rust. Would recommend blasting and galv or paint? If paint what type? (Used in mostly dry weather)

My puma 2.4 is clocking up miles and is currently sat on 130k, it’s serviced every 10,000 and so on. How much life do you think this engine has left in it?

Barely run in. I know a few on 250k. It’s a workhorse engine as long as it’s looked after. Do the injector seals it’ll look after you.
