I’m liking this kinder, softer way of talking about players who haven’t been doing well from the WeAreTottenham lads, including Barnaby. Everyone these days is so quick to write off players who have been putting in the work for Spurs. Instead of bashing Timo, I’m seeing a little more patience from everyone. I didn’t like it when everyone was being extremely harsh against Brennan Johnson or even Richarlison. Support the team, support the players. Up the Spurs!

Spurs aren’t winning anything with players like Johnson and Richarlison… no matter how harsh or kind you are. They are very limited at the end of the day

We criticize when players don’t perform and give them praise when they do. We need to raise the bar as a fan base if we want to win trophies.

We are talking about how Brennan is responding to the chants. And how great he’s suddenly become so now let’s learn from ourselves and NOT TURN IT ONTO TIMO. Let’s give Timo an ‘Only One Chant’ in the stadium for the next 3 games and do our bit to help him rather than making it worse hey?

Loved seeing the energy on the ball, quickness, agility, conviction. Big difference from watching players receive and think too much then play it safe. They were slicing and dicing yesterday

All in all a good performance from the team. Hope the boys keep putting on this plays. But we need not be carried away with one great game. Remember we were up and running last season till 9 or 10 matches but ended up short of top 4. Ange high line tactic is wonderful to watch and it's how everybody wants their team to be- fearless and winning, but since we take massive risk with the high lines, there has to be made a way of covering up defence line as well when opponents breakaway, because we did make mistakes in these areas. Timo Werner is good for sprinter, but he lacks in finishing. He can run up and down and be a menace to opponent. But he is an offensive player as well, he need to gain confidence in his execution.

We have to score first. That obliges the other team to stop defending and waiting. That's what we did yesterday. COYS

Great result,flowing attacking football. Lets not get ahead of ourselves we have seen many false dawns over the years. Big up to solanke and johnson silenced their critics and i admit i was one. Vdv,romero and kulu outstanding. Madders best game in ages. Spence looked good when he came on. Werner worked hard but finishing awful,sonny would have took a couple of those chances. But all in all great display from all players and ange. Coys

100% if terms of team play , balance and linkup . That the score line flattered Manchester , resorting to hacking Madders , but for me Deki in the 8 absolutely made the front line threat so effective. as a team performance , top draw. This is the level required to create the standards of excellence. The media can go ballistic over Man U , but it is about our consistency being maintained without the outside noise. Keep it pressure on . CoYS!

That was one of the most fun games to watch I think since Ange took over. It was a bit worrying until we got the second but after that it was just fun and easy. Can't remember a performance like that since prime Poch days.

Look I've absolutely no issues with the media focusing on how bad United were and just leave us alone while we continue doing our thing and when we one day go out and batter City, Arsenal and Liverpool they wouldn't even see it coming. If anything all the emphasis on how bad United were just puts more pressure on Ten Hag. Hell, I'd be even happier if Ten Hag can keep his job at United tbh. But as good as that performance against United was I'm looking ahead. We've seen last season where we battered Newcastle and then thrashed Villa and we were so confident after beating Villa that we're going to finish in the top 4 but what happened to all the results and performances after that Villa game? Brighton is a pretty crucial game for us imo, if we can go out there and build on this performance and do the same thing that we did to United against Brighton, then maybe we can say we've finally turn a corner but I'd not get too excited before that happens. I mean it'd be pointless to get a result at Old Trafford and then lose to Brighton or drop points to West Ham who have been dreadful despite their summer signings. We need to show a lot of consistency if we're going to be able to do anything special this season.
@rudolphmayers1302Ай бұрын
Hey, as well as we played, and we played very well against Newcastle, if we had lost or even drawn the game against Manchester United, you would have been on Werner's back for missing those chances, let's be honest and perfectly clear!
@briananthony3676Ай бұрын
Bruno might've slipped ... but he lunged at Maddison
@pierrelindqvist7726Ай бұрын
Exactly, slipping as an excuse is not viable. It's the action that should be judged and his action is violent enough for the red card. The ref has no other option. Bruno slipping actually makes it worse as it means he's not really in control of his tackle. A smarter player would've tried to stop Maddison with his arm/hand instead which never could've rendered in a red card. This challenge has already been added into an instruction video of what is a straight red card offense that will be used in referee-courses btw.

Fernandez was out of control, he was high and he lashed out with his foot. At match speed it looked cynical and vicious. The fact he only hit him with his ankle was luck imo. Yes ultimately the contact didn’t rank as dangerous but it’s a long way from an obvious error
