i'm honestly optimistic that people will forget vicario's mistakes before his best goalkeeping. he is so so so top it must be understood that he's playing in a very difficult role in this system and the same urgency that causes outrageous mistakes makes him the player and person that can thrive under ange. it's all about patience and persistence

Vicario is so underdone by so many DMB FANS! Hes the reason we havent been hammered at times....he cant help it if the defence we have is HORRID! Romero alone has cost us 3-4 goals so far

Porro and VDV a 6??? Oh. They were better than that. VDV made terrific challenges throughout the match. Porro was a tactical change staying back more.

@@charles_preston I agree. It's interesting how people can have a different perspective on the same thing. I cannot see what Ben saw that warrants these two a 6! Maybe a VDV crunching tackle is now normal whereas another player doing the same would get a 9! The price of being a class player. Its expected and normalised

@ Ben I was more disappointed with Porro for first goal ! He gave him far too much space to cross. VDV reasonably guessed Mbuemo would take it down. Porro at fault and just an incredible volley basically.

So ridiculous to hate on Vicario. With almost any other goalkeeper in the league, the score would have been 3-2 or 3-3. He’s not perfect, he made mistakes, but he’s great.

I agree with Sim on VDV. I am torn with Vic. His one save was OUTSTANDING. But he had two absolute howler moments that could have cost us. A 6 is probably about right. I think an 8 would be right for Bentancur. He seemed to be everywhere, especially defensively. I think Kulu was an 8 as well. Much like Bentancur, there seemed to be more than one player with his name on the pitch. He was everywhere, giving Brentford so much grief. Unlucky not to score really. I LOVE the Madders - Kulu pairing at the 8/10. They are so damn creative. COYS!!

Sarr gets a seven and VDV gets down graded. Give me a break. Sarr is just not good enough on the ball. Also you never know what you’re going to get from Porro. He’s way too inconsistent. Spence should get more opportunities on the right. Overall the team played well. I liked our physicality today, especially VDV.

A good GK needs to be vocal and not be afraid to hold his defense accountable. He does that. A lot. And when you make grave mistakes personally and immediately proceed to verbally berate the defense…it’s not a good look. I get that he need to maintain that “control” but sometimes i think he’s a little aggressive considering his own personal mishaps

The way ange keeps repeating the same lineup after a bad performance is worrying. Players like Dragusin, Sarr, Gray and Bergvall need to be rotated atleast every 2 games in the PREM to find their rhythm. They can't find their forms coming from the bench all the time. Look at how Sarr lost his form since bentancur came back into the regular starting 11. I know people would say they start in the other cup games but these are the games we should be going all out on, playing our strongest 11.

As a Sonny fan, he deserved a 6 or 7. He didnt dribble past his man, got bullied physically and didnt shoot much for himself. He did have 2 key passes but i think former Son would've scored 2 this game

He’s putting in %100 effort and continues to keep the press up even when he’s tied. But his execution wasn’t there at times. I get that. Sometimes it’s the things you do that don’t show up in the stats sheet. But yeah, I noticed some breakdowns that he typically didn’t have troubles with.

If Spurs had tied or lost that game, I would've given Van de Ven a 1, tons of space for that shot at goal, caught sleeping. But yeah, outside from that pretty solid, nothing spectacular so a 6 is fine given that it didn't cost the game because the front line decided to play today unlike against Arsenal

What an awful methodology for giving ratings... giving a 1 for making one mistake 22 seconds in is ridiculous enough, but then instead basing the player's rating off of other player's performances is next level. Give your head a shake mate.

Johnson took his chance well but other than that he didn't do a lot. He rarely took his man on, his football intelligence was lacking, he missed easy chances and his first touch was awful. He gets a 5....
