Although I'm quite into fashion, and therefore probably will never be able to create a uniform, the ending of the video spoke to me. "Finding clothes that fit my style and needs." Now that's one of the best style advice I've heard in a long time because way too often people (speaking from my own experience here :D) end up buying clothes that they think they will like or wear, only to go back to the same black denim they feel the most comfortable with.

What's up MountainPepsi!! How ya been!? I think the life uniform works really well for me because I have no sense of fashion at all LOL. For whatever reason it doesn't interest me at all, so coming to the conclusion of creating a life uniform makes sense for me. But I'm acutely aware that my perspective won't apply for everyone. So I definitely think that "finding your own style that fits your needs" is better general advice to give.

@@DerekBearzi I took sort of a break from the whole self-improvement -thing and therefore quit watching all those channels for a while. And also life got in the way a bit. But now I'm back :D Good to see you're still making videos!

This is actually how I found your channel last year. I bought a bunch of the same shirt so I was looking for KZbin videos about people that did the same thing - one of your videos appeared in the results- after I watched it more of your videos appeared in my feed and I watched a few more then subscribed. I have 15 banana republic T-shirts mostly all navy blue, some black, some gray. Some v-neck, some crew neck. I had some gift cards from Christmas so I used those to buy them. I also have six pairs of the same navy blue jeans. This is what I wear 95% of the time. It makes everything much more simple every day. I like the way my clothes look, feel, and fit. Sometimes if we go out to dinner I will wear something else to switch it up. But you are right- no one ever notices what I wear- its kind of funny. People are 100% occupied with their own outfit that they don’t pay attention to others. I actually wore an old graphic tee to pick my 10yo up from school two weeks ago and it felt weird to wear something else hehe. Not sure I’ll ever go back to a big selection of day-to-day clothes ever again. I prefer this and like being predictable. My wife teases me, calling me Simon Cowell. But I like spending ZERO time deciding what to wear each day.

Thats awesome, I always wondered how we crossed paths Ron. I always enjoy reading your comments. It sounds like we have a very similar taste in clothing! I have a few black v-neck shirts that I wear when I need to "dress up" if that makes any sense hahaha... Life can be so chaotic at times especially with kids, that I value the ability to make decisions quickly and effortlessly. LOL @ Simon Cowell, hahaha. My wife does tease me sometimes too, but it's all in good fun. Thanks again for always taking the time to write me Ron. I really appreciate it.

I really wish I could do this but my mental state would tell me that I look shit and my partner would notice and not think I make a effort with clothes. I know that’s really bad 😕

I absolutely love the incorporation of the phone calls and the interview with you wife. This is a topic that Alexis (my fiance) and I talk about often. She wants to buy me different clothes but I would rather spend time not thinking about what I am going to wear. I would imagine this video will help someone else stop caring so much about what other people think. Great video brother.

Thanks Jon! I'm slowly adding more minimalist type habits to my life. I've been finding peace and happiness lately, whenever I add more simplicity to my life. I'm not sure if that sentence makes sense, but I'm sure you get what I'm saying. Maybe 2021 is the year where less is more.

Love that you did this concept of 'life uniform." This is something I've done for so long that I didn't even consider it a life uniform. I love wearing just a plain t-shirt. I only buy the occasional printed shirt if the design is something that really catches my eyes, has some nostalgic feeling, or if I am wearing it for specific purpose. And what Tina said about only noticing if you wear something other than a plain t-shirt, I've noticed this with my friends and family as well! I dont feel restricted at all. Being able to reach in the closet, and quickly grab something to wear without thinking is so beneficial -- but still having the option to put a little personality in from time to time with a printed shirt. Keep up the amazing videos!

Thanks Sadie! Sounds like you've been on the life uniform train for awhile now haha. I don't think I can ever go back to a "normal" style wardrobe. Wearing the same clothes everyday makes everything so much simpler. It's like I have 1 less decision to make in a day, where I already have so much going on.

I do wear things with logos. But I will literally wear the same things for many years. I have shoes that are 12 years old but look brand new. The only difference is I take care of my stuff. I wouldn't say I do life uniform but when I buy I try to make it last as long as possible 😅

I definitely need to work on taking care of what I have. I always feel like the novelty of "new things" falls off rather quickly for me. There's always something we can work on brotha! Haha

Hey Steve, how you doing!? I hope all is well. I've actually run into a similar problem with all the old name brand clothing I used to buy. They're still in good/wearable condition, so I don't want to throw them out. Recently, I've donated some clothes to charity and gave what fit to my dad, but there is still some stuff I don't know what to do with. I've resorted to using the remaining old clothes for pajamas, hahaha

@@DerekBearzi yep charity shops are the answer. Thanks for your time, it’s weird how much “good” stuff I have that I never wear and is in storage under the bed but I’m struggling to donate it 😂. Think I’ll try 1 or 2 items a week that way it may not appear as such a past waste of money. I’ve learnt now at least I don’t need to buy anything for years 😉👍.
