Hello friends! What do you guys think of these pants?! Just to be ~clear~, I ordered these pants a few weeks ago (you can check my twitter timeline) and wanted to wait to wear them at Playlist - and I'm so glad I did, because I had a great time and I loved sharing them with you there! I'm not going to stop tweeting and instagramming the videos that I'm planning, because I love getting your input and talking with you guys there - but I'm also going to take the time to make my videos as good as they can be and not "rush" them out just to be first out of the gate. I hope that makes sense! Love you all, and it's back to editing for me as I have another big video I'm working on for you guys (if you remember Tyler's thrift store vlog from a while back!). Those plastic jeans may actually be useful for me. I go to a uni in a city where, when it rains, basically turns into a big lake. If I try riding my bike in the rain, my trousers get soaked. These seem like they would be a raincoat but for your bottom half.

I realize this video is old, but I only just discovered Safiya. In the late 90s/early 00s, I wore plastic pants all the time. It was the look then. Like a black top with a plastic see through red cross or heart over the chest, black plastic/plether/vinyl pants latex body suits, etc. so really I just see this look like a natural progression down the gothic chic avenue of my youth. They stunk. They sweated, stuck to my legs, made noise. Here’s how that was fixed: 1. Butt deodorant. Yep. I’d just grab a second stick and dedicate my old spice to my pits, and secret to my butt crack and under cheeks. I know. This is shocking. You can also apply it between your thighs to prevent sweat chafing. The odor and sweat is cut down dramatically. 2. Baby powder on your thighs. This makes taking them off later a breeze. 3. Baby oil on the pants between the thighs. This muted them, and the only sound was the bending and creaking, which is more manageable than the rubbing. 4. Sheer hosiery. As a Hail Mary, if the day was particularly hot, hosiery on top of the other three steps did the trick. I used to dress like this everywhere, even Disney land, in platform boots, even. You find ways of making it work when goth is life. I personally liked outfit 5 the most. I also feel some holographic hosiery would look good, as well as just full tattooed legs (if you have it, flaunt it).i could also see them being exceptional with layered, and a flowy top, maybe a gypsy cut silky something falling off the shoulder and some docs. Now, watching other videos, I already know the fate of the pants. It was definitely the chlorine.

When I was in high school, I made snow pants out of duct tape. They did not breath at all, which was both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, they provided great insulation against the harsh New England winters; they were almost completely immune to wind chill; I went skiing in them once and it was great.
