I got a pair of the Kobe Reebok PE's deadstock dated 2002 on the tag from Ross. I paid $35 dollars. An got the box folded I asked for it and the cashier went to the back and found the box. Greatest find in my history of shopping EVER.

I got mine this morning. No problems at all. I love AF1’s so these are a good pickup. I usually only buy the premium AF1’s (Crafts, etc.) or do Nike By You because the leather tends to be of a better quality.

Grinches really are the best Christmas release but a few years ago my dad picked me up Lebron 10 Christmas from some flea market for like $10. I think the owner didn’t know what they had so my dad got them and they were still wearable. I’ve hooped in them and they are so good.

Loving how Nike is receptive with this release, since my friends and I were able to buy a pair from SNKRS. On the other hand, the black pair was harder to get a hold of being only 8000 pairs released. QOTD: Nike SB Dunk Low “Candy Cane,” and I wish I could afford them. They did a proper job with these and it feels respectful to Kobe’s legacy. I’m glad the materials are up to par because, like you said, there is such a WIDE range of quality in AF1s. I mentioned it the other day, but I think the popularity of AF1s back in the day, combined with the propensity of nice leather to crease and the obsession at the time with the FOTB aesthetic is part of how we ended up with the plasticky “leather” trash we get on most releases these days (with maximizing profit being a big part as well). 13:25 - 13:31 NO GRINCHES LMAO 🤣 so my personal favourite Xmas shoes are the Air Max 90 Nordic Christmas (from 2020), those are fire and underrated 🔥 Reverse Grinches I like more the original Grinches actually. The red shoe with green laces speaks more to me. Now I know this isn’t a popular opinion, but I customize shoes and I customized the AJ1 Gorge Greens…. Replaced the silver swoosh painted with black instead, and implemented Red laces and those shoes are now my Xmas Jordan 1s. Bc it’s hard to find any Jordan 1 Xmas shoes, although I remember a couple years back they did release those Lows that had Xmas colors or were they Mids?!

Off the topic of the AF1 Kobe’s, I was legit given a pair of Adidas The Kobe 2s for free and was able to wear them to work at an OKC Thunder game. Kobe unveiled The Kobe during the 2000 playoffs (I think it was in the Suns series), before that he wore the KB8 3 and the Forum 2000 (in the ASG at Oakland he sported a clean looking white and grey colorway). The season after that, 2000-01, he wore that same shoe from start to finish and in the 2001-02 season he wore the Kobetwo, but when the Lakers played against the Wolves in those beautiful MPLS blue unis, Kobe wore that white, yellow and purple PE, the same of the home games when he ditched the Kobetwo for the original. The black PE was for the away games and that's when he returned to the shoe for the three-peat. What a great memories. If adidas gives us a true nice Restomod Kobetwo (supposedly now called the Crazy 2 and that's why the other Crazy 2 changed to Crazy 98...man, adidas is a mess 😂). Anyway, my favorite Christmas shoe is the Grinch 6s, which I never had, but as those are not allowed, I will say the 9s and the 10s.
