I'm a non-athlete, 50-something person. I bought them for walking around Italy after I stumbled and fell on my last trip. I have weak ankles and achilles tendonitis flare-ups. I wore these them for 2 weeks walking 10,000+ steps daily for 2 weeks. WOW. This shoe holds your foot and ankle securely, firmly and comfortably. It was excellent to feel like my shoe was holding my foot and ankle steady no matter what sort of uneven cobblestone sandy gritty slick surface I was walking on. Italy has very uneven streets, paths and sidewalks. Highly recommend for a "travelers" shoe. Also, my achilles tendon is almost healed, this shoe keeps your foot/ankle straight and supported. It' stylish and trendy but also it's a Damn Good Shoe! Also like the back pull-on loop and the tongue holes to get the shoe on. It's nice for people with weak hands to get their shoes on.

I was in the 4th grade when the AJ1 first came out so I guess I qualify as an "old head" lol. From what I see, it's just the opposite, the young bucks who weren't even born to actually witness MJ making history in the 80's and 90's are the ones obsessed with "nike air" branding and hating hybrids. Personally, I do prefer the OG nike air branding bc it does add to the nostalgia, but it's not that big a deal. I've always loved hybrids when done the right way such as the spiz'ike and 6 rings because they tell a story, which also delivers a sense of nostalgia. Always thought the 312 low was dope too, these mvp's aren't too bad.

For a hybrid shoe, these are great! But something I wouldn’t buy for myself. But if someone asked me do they look good, I’d be all about it for them. And love they put the detail in the box. If this was someone’s first jordan, they can see where this shoe comes from and start their journey on looking for other shoes

I'm a big 6 fan , i had an original pair of black infrareds back when i was 15 nearly 35 years ago, I own all the colours that are worth having, mainly the nubucks as they feel awesome , all the travis Scott's etc and I love these in the collection, I have the blacks/infra, the greens and the white blacks. I got all 3 for under 100 bucks/ £80 a pair. Can't fault them at those prices

Liked these(Raptors) so much, that I got the UNC colorway too. QC was bad on the first pair but they exchanged them and 2nd pair was good. They fit like 6's but a bit better. Without the pods/bubble things on the ankle parts and without the flip thing on the tongue, these look better in my opinion. They also fit better without the things mentioned above, if you're wearing jeans. I had the Jordan 6's Cool Grey and the materials on these are better. The "leather" on the Cool Grey 6's, felt like Payless shoes. I think these are right next to the Jordan Point Lanes, as far as materials go. Point Lanes had some very nice leather.

I really like this pair and actually own them. I got the desert sand pair in, which is a women’s release, and they went back to what we expect and used some of the worst synthetic leather. Probably going to go for the olive and UNC pairs and rock those.

I think it looks fly as hell, but priced way to high for what it is. Why is it a fusion joint, priced slightly lower than a retro? But you're right about the 23, Chris. Makes no sense why it's medial instead of somewhere visible on the outside. Nike Canada has a white/cardinal colourway that's eh. The shoe's got so many possibilities for dynamic colouring, I hope they actually put some effort into it. But right now, it's mos def a 'wait for sale' shoe for me.

Man, something about the upper silhouette just clashes. I love the midsole and outsole but something about the upper trying to integrate the 7's upper into the 6 just isn't working out. It sucks cause this shoe to me is SO close to being absolute heat but something small is throwing off the aesthetic.

it looks weird... like, the silouhette looks pretty cool from afar especially with the 8's covered thingy about the midsole, but when you look at the paneling upclose it's just a mess (and it's even worse on the white colorways (white/orange/black/cardinal red and offwhite/pink/white/polar grey))

initial thought dont hate em but dont love em... like theyre alright I can see why folks like them but I feel these couldve been really great looking with just a bit more design risk and effort put into fusing the various shoes together... the more you look at these you realize theyre primarily just the 6s with a few 7 and 8 design elements lazily slapped overtop of the 6s silhouette. what I mean is when you look at the Spizike its clearly a blend/fusion of 4 shoes together... you had the 3s bottom/midsole, then the upper blends elements of the 3 and 4 together perfectly and then you had the 5s collar style and lace eyelet style + lace lock and then the 6s tongue for a strange but clean looking hybird... it combined everything without overly looking like any particular jordan model imo. Even when you look at the jumpman 6 rings, I dont think its nearly as clean of a design as the spizike but they are at least a true hy bird that took some bold risks and again doesnt really look like any particular retro model. These on the other hand take little risk imo and barely stray from the 6s design. Imo the 7s jumpman looks so strange the way they just tossed it onto the side of the 6s collar on theses, the way they so poorly included the few elements from the 7s on these, it makes me feel that this idea mainly arouse from fusing the 8s with the 6s... and adding the 7s in was a after thought to help fill the "mvp" story narrative. I mostly like the way the 8s features are paired with the 6s... other then that 23, its so odd and seemingly out of place, I think they shouldve kept the 6s lace shroud and put the 23 on it... which would be similar to how the 23 laid over the laces on 8s when using the cross straps. The Nike Air heel is another odd choice... i mean, I suppose when he made his mvp run in the 6s they were nike airs but it seems dirty handed in a way, it does look good as nike air on the back of the 6s always does. Always interesting seeing a new Jordan hybird drop.

I also like pretty much all hybrids (especially all the ones Chris mentioned). I also like the Two Treys but never owned a pair or tried on a pair. Maybe I’ll go to the Nike outlet store and try on a pair as they have the two treys, as well as the 6 rings. I have owned several 6 rings, dub zeroes and Spizikes. All are great in my opinion. I like these MVP’s as well but need to get them at 70% retail to feel good about the purchase. Too expensive in my opinion (wished Nike included the 8’s cross straps).

I'm 50/50 on the mashup stuff. I like the Stadium 90s (just wish the materials were nicer), but this is like a half thought. The things I don't like, like the tiny Jumpman and the Nike Air not on an OG color way make this feel like a fake shoe and I'm out. I think the best part about this shoe is the graphic in the box...and if that's the best part about the shoe, you've done something wrong.

These look way better than the dub zeros. I sold my dub zero that one of my local sport resellers for cash. I try to wear them for work and oh my goodness, they were terrible. The dub zero is a nice looking shoe don't get me wrong. I had the white black and Carolina blue ones. I just felt that that shoe was trash when it came to performance. This shoe I think might be the real deal. I'm looking for another pair of work shoes right now actually and all I wear whether I'm at work or casually being around my family and friends, they'll tell you all I wear primarily is retro Jordans. Matter of fact I got a pair of the Cardinal 7s on right now as I'm speaking. Lol😅. I love the sixes, sevens on my joint, and I love the eights. I think this is a real game changer. Especially if you looking for a shoe on a budget and you don't want to shell out 200 dollars for a new pair.
