I was in middle school when the 1’s came out. They didn’t have my size but I still got a size too big and loved the hell out of em! I was one of the first to have them & felt like such a stud. Still balled out in them, they were a really good pair of shoes. More durable than any shoe I’ve owned other than the prestos.

Got those badboys instead of a Jordan 13´s back in I believe 1997. I got to chose what pair to use on Highschool and still loving it!!! Never regret my choice. and that color, is a must have.

They're KILLING me with this release. Nobody messed with these like that (except for a FEW of us) and now all of a sudden they wanna play games like these are in super high demand. I'm afraid that CB94 release set an ugly precedent. I have a feeling that the regular Nike classics are gonna become just as difficult to get as OG Jordan colorways. Anyway... great review and I hope all of us that truly want the shoe are able to cop them at retail.

I had the Royal blue in 1999 when I went to live to Mexico during my elementary years. I had visited a neighboring state during a church tour that same year and saw these in a Nike store. But the ones I saw had the shiny, purple, glittery, foamposite with black nubuck underlayers and those were the ones I really wanted. Instead, I had to settle for the Royal blue and white when I can back to the state I was living since it was the only color available. Eventually, I wore them to the ground since I picked up skateboarding. Which was very popular at that time. But these right here I want a pair. They look so unique compared to most shoes out there. I remember those during my freshmen year in high school. I had the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo(black/neon yellow) at the start of basketball season(August) and then I added the Reebok Answer I towards the end of the ‘97 year(November). I remember thinking hard about the Penny’s but I decided to not ask my mother for them lol this is so nostalgic...seems like just yesterday

Great hooping shoes! Penny's are the best Nike Basketball series after Jordans, IMO. Still hoop in my White/Royal '09s. BUT, nothing beats the Penny 2's! Probably my Top 2 favorite shoe of all-time.
