Excellent, thanks for that! Funnily enough I have just returned to the hobby and am painting/weathering some cheap Hornby Triang wagons, trying out various methods. Having used water-based paint with good but limited effect, I can now see why you need enamel/white spirit to highlight the planks etc - water + acrylics do not make a good wash! Anyway, I’m off now to paint the silver wheels - thanks for the idea! 👍

Good job. Only after trying to effortlessly remove the roof on my OO gauge version dand it not coming off did I realise yours was O gauge, doh.
