I just traded in my 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour w/141K miles. Just shy of 13 years with WT floor liners installed on day one. While the initial rich black color had faded a bit, they still looked great. Same success with many other WT sets going back to the days that they were marketed under the MacNeil name. I still have a pair of the trimmable, rubber-like deep channel mats from early days that I use for other purposes. I still miss the red trimmed perimeter - looked sharp. Couple of key things - it helps to clean them regularly, or at least vacuum them. Like any similar material, getting sand, small pebbles and the like built up between your feet and the mat is like sandpapering your cars paint job. Second, be very careful if thinking about applying appearance enhancers to bring back the color or sheen, etc. I’ve found that some can end up making the mats slippery. This includes products used by professional detailers. That material can also transfer from the liners to your brake & accelerator pedals via your shoes - not what you want. I know WT sells their own brand of cleaning products but I felt they were too pricey and opted not to purchase them. One nice benefit I’ve discovered is that I can sell my used liners for about half of what I paid for them. I reinstall the unused, carpeted factory floor mats and it does help the used car sell for a bit more. I just purchased and installed a full set of WT floor liners for my 2025 Pilot, opting for the newest HP version. Indeed, prices have increased since 2011 however these new mats are great. They are more of a moulded rubber compound vs the injected molded “plastic” previous generation. The underside has (sharp) nibs that give them good gripping power to the carpet in addition to the lock downs. It makes them just a bit tricky to install because they do not slide into place like the earlier versions. The fit is excellent as the new material is softer and tends to hug the side wells better. The WT badge is gone but if that helps keep the price down, I’m good with that. I too noted that the left foot pad for the driver never seems to go high enough but upon close examination of my current vehicle, the floor pan goes three dimensional just above the foot pad, curving outward and back which probably isn’t a good setup to assure a taller mat would stay put and not curl. WT may not be the lowest upfront cost floor liner available today but they serve me very well in the longer run. Cheers!

Seven (or eight?) years? That is one hell of a long-term review. Just imagine how young and full of weathertech dreams you were seven years ago. Still, it's a great review, because you're not going to find many reviews like this that are seven years in the making.

I was looking for a video like this! I plan to get these for my 10’ Impreza to give it a little new life. I got it new back in 2009; love it. Also is a hatchback. Maybe I ought to go with the brown ones, they may look less dirty over time versus the black mats.

Had them for years on cherokee and grand cherokee. They are great but hard. Slipery too I changed for lasefit. More caoutchou, more like the orriginal mopar jeep one. Patern is better and water grouve also deeper for snow as well.

I've had WTs in my 4runner for 6 years. Made the mistake of choosing the light grey color. Stained in no time. Was thinking about buying black WTs, but I'm going to look at other brands first. Thanks, for the long term review.

I have a 4Runner and I'm trying to decide between WeatherTech and huskies. Which ones did you go with?

WeatherTech mats are great but not perfect. They start out stiff and seem to get moreso over time. They do the job. Husky I like better because I think they fit more snuggly. I just bought a set of a brand called orealtrend from Amazon for my new to me 2012 Subaru Impreza. They were $75 front and back. WT is 3 times that at $229 and Husky I couldn't find anyone who had them in stock. The knockoff set seems so far to be good quality, fit is spot on, more flexible rubber that seems to keep my feet from slipping as I get with WT. Remind me of the Husky mats. Time will tell as far as durability.

Had them in my 16 accord and 17 Sorento since new. They are all curling and don't fit very well anymore. The sides of the fronts have sagged inward so there is a big gap, and the rears on both cars are curling at the edges. I think they clean up ok and look nice after using the WT protectant, but I'm not really a fan anymore. I got tuxmat for my 2020 Audi, and they are awesome for my particular car.

Try using a heat gun to the driver side tk get the original color back. Not enough to deform it but just enough for the surface to turn dark again.

My weather tech mats did not hold up well over time. Maybe it's the heat of my truck sitting outside its entire life.

Weather tech mats are awful to clean. I used mild soap and scrubbed as stated. Rinsed and dried. These are barely used and won’t clean. I won’t be buying Weathertech products because of this odd issue. I clean my trash can all the time. Looks new again. Not these
