How do you weave in the base fabric? With the Toothbrush rug I end up with two ends. The base and the knotting fabric. The knotting fabric is easy because it won't show but how about the base fabric which will?

Hello, Susan! Another good question! Your base (running) strip does show in your final project. Depending on how loose/tightly your work, the more/less it will show. Generally though, you will find that weaving back & forth a few stitches through your knotting (working) strip really doesn't show that much in your final rug. Be conscious of where the stitches you choose & perhaps pick colors close to the running strip so it's less evident.

@@RagstoRugsbyLoraYes, the toothbrush rug doesn't use a crochet hook. So on the Toothbrush rug tutorial, could you please add 'how to end your rug'? That would be so helpful!! Much appreciation, and thank you for your video. I sure love the look of your Amish/Toothbrush rug.
