Dude, Coop had no idea. He left because he was unhappy didn't like to be pushed around by the if you don't train with me you'll never win Baker Factory. Coop was just unhappy at KTM
@Shawn-wd4qd5 сағат бұрын
Not only all of what you said is correct but, Cooper dominated on the 250 Star Yamaha. I think that’s why he went back. If they would’ve had a 450 team on Star Yamaha when he moved to the 450 class i don’t think Webb would’ve ever left it.

I have heard riding for Baker's kind of sucks
@oldguy196017 сағат бұрын
Nope, it was the bike. Interviews around that time Roger was saying the riders were all spoiled and kept asking for things that took the bike in the wrong direction. AP had a good response "really that's what he (Roger) said"

Funny thing, the chatter on the enduro channels is that Yamaha knew 2 years ago that KTM was going to be in over their heads right about now. Whether in response to this knowledge or not, I do not know, but they did have in the works some interesting new models (looks like now for 2026). 1) a YZ300X w/the chatter that it will basically be the Fantic XE 300 in "Blu-Crew" colors. Some folks have bootlegged into the US some Fantic models fairly recently (including a XE 300 which they say IS FAST). Consider the recent Cody Webb hire for (hard) enduro. They'll probably also use it to sort out what they want to do in the future with updating the YZ125/250(X). 2) a YZ350F(X). Consider here the recent hire of Kailub Russell for the 2025 GNCC and beyond. He's racing a YZ450FX for 2025 (2026??).

Ever hear of kreft moto? They were a suspension shop that only worked on wp suspension. Fairly large in the off-road industry. They closed up shop 12-15-23. I think a lot in the industry knew something was going on.

Do you have evidence of a flying spaghetti monster? I didn't think so. If you're taking about the God of the bible, there is plenty of evidence. But you would rather live in denial and worship yourself and the monkey man you think you came from.😂
@relearningrights242811 сағат бұрын
Why was the poll total 101% ....
@muratodabasi72767 сағат бұрын
Coop left because he wasn't treated right. KTM did not believe in him and they gave him a one-year only contract. When they realized Coop was doing really well it was too late to offer him a new contract.
@YZEtc17 сағат бұрын
I think Webb was tired of having to do what the KTM team made him do as far as training and bike setup goes. Would not be surprised if that led to relations with certain people going downhill fast. I also think, like you said Walty, he may have got a whiff that something was brewing, but did not know any specifics. I do think that some industry insiders did know and were predicting KTM's money problems and are not at all surprised with what they are now contending with.
