Boeta you helped a whole lot, I wanted to ask some questions regarding over fueling to a point that is comes out between the head and body where the gasket is. What is the cause for that ?

Thank you I'll have a look, because I am able to drive but the car has a weird idle and a heavy overfueling smell. This did all happen after I revved to 5.500 in forth, on a jetta 2 1.8 8v. But ever since then she hasn't been right

Thank you for making this video.. this will help me to service and reassemble the 36 DCD 7 in Fiat 1100-103H project i just took on..also from your flat spot video i learnt the correct side to replace the spray nozzle and that will be extremely helpful.

Hi, love the video!!! I need so advice tho I have a Nissan 1400 with a Weber 36 dcd, But it’s stalling out when I go into neutral coming to a stop. Do you think it’s carb related or could it be something else?

Hey , awesome video I had a question ,if everything concerning this carb is fine why won't My car run unless I press on the venturis the idle is set correct but the moment I let my hand go of the choke it dies off

Hi Roy, thank you for the comment. Perhaps the idle jet is blocked or the idle channel is blocked. Check that your idle jet is the correct size for your engine capacity. Try the idle air screw at two and a half turns out as a starting point. Check that the carb base is not sucking air as it seems to idle with additional fuel. Please let me know how you get on.

Look on Facebook market place but be careful, most of the carbs are junk. I unfortunately don't have at the moment.

some kits are put together for multiple carbs so if you have bits left don't stress about it. as long as you have put everything back that you took out.

The emulsion suction plunger is missing from the carb , at the back of the choke , very very important piece of the 36dcd , crucial part , carb won't work without it.

Thank you for liking the video, Many combinations are available, your setup will work well but try mains 125/135 emulsion tubes F23/F30 air correction 210/180 24/24 choke tubes

Is it necessary to have a heat shield (Bakelite) or are the supplied gasket in kit ok by itself. How do I order them details thanks Reg. Also in an exploded view no. 28 says Inspection screw, just above the mixture adjust screw. On one side it is blank (2ndry side) on primary side there is threads leading to a tiny hole. I am missing that "blank off screw?. Maybe you have a spare.
