This is a brilliant performance of a quintet that isn't performed nearly that often. I had no idea that Weber had composed such a gem. It certainly rivals Mozart & Mendelssohn. It possesses many qualities of emotion. It's elegant, sophisticated, commonplace, jocular, somber, remorseful, jubilant. I have 2 recordings of it (Bel Arte Trio & Sequoia Qrt.) and this particular performance stands right up with those. I would gladly pay to see this ensemble even if I had to walk to the concert hall.

Ravishing, brilliant, formidable . . . creme de la creme. . . of clarinet tone. Sorry folks, I just had to comment again & co-sign some of the other remarks. I'm almost afraid to ask what brand of clarinet she uses, for fear that the company will have a monopoly on the market. Definately a tone for players to strive for. . . and the acompaniment was also devine!
